What a fucking dickhead, get on the fucking ground and record it. People like this are walking problems. He hasn't committed a crime, but refusing a coppas orders is committing a crime
If it was a crime he would have been charged, correct? I have absolutely nothing against police officers don't get me wrong, they do their part for our community and I respect that to the fullest, but I can't believe you have the audacity to get angry about a man using his rights. How dare he not lay on the ground like a dog, for no reason. In this case the police were the problem, and I hate to say it because that's not the way it should be, but unfortunately this time that seems to be the case.
He has a point, if you can just point a gun at a bystander recording something, what's the point of having the right to record officers?
it's not the fact that he's recording, it's the fact that he refuses to lie down on the ground and continues to refuse.
Cooperate and a cop won't have to pull a gun on you. It's ridiculous to expect a cop to put his gun away just because the guy he is pointing it at says he doesn't have a gun. It's also important to bear in mind that there isn't any context for this video, so we don't know why the gun was pulled in the first place. There is also the fact that you can't clearly see what kind of "gun" the officer is holding, and it looks like it could easily be a taser to me. This is the problem with these kinds of videos. People like to think they have the entire picture, but there is a lot of data that we aren't getting from the video alone. I'd wait for a news article before passing any sort of judgment either way.
Fairly sure it's not a Taser most if not all have yellow markings on the sides
You don't know what strangers will do. They could pull a knife or gun on you and kill you in a moment's notice if you confront them. Chances are they won't, but that's a mistake that can cost your life.
Do you not see how much the American society lives in fear?
God i despise american police.
Was he crying?
What a fucking dickhead, get on the fucking ground and record it. People like this are walking problems. He hasn't committed a crime, but refusing a coppas orders is committing a crime
Yeah fucking dickhead should know police are above the law what an idiot
it's not the fact that he's recording, it's the fact that he refuses to lie down on the ground and continues to refuse.
But why is he being told to get down on the ground? He did nothing wrong, he was unarmed. According to him, there's nothing justifying the use of weapons anyways. Imagine if someone involved in police brutality used this sort of tactic. The camera person could be detained without cause and the officer involved could destroy the tape. This is why this can't excused. [editline]29th October 2014[/editline]
Was he crying?
You'd be upset too if you had a gun pointed at you by police officers funded by the government you swore and risked your life to protect.
Act suspicious as fuck and then complain when the authorities act accordingly. No-one is disputing that there Cops that overstep the mark, but like others have said its sad but its a very real thing you never know what they might be carrying on them and if in turn they will use it. But of course fucking pigs, blah, blah, blah.

He was recording a crime which is extremely common in order to protect the individual (his friend) involved. He clearly stated he was unarmed and had his arms up while exiting the vehicle and it wasn't an issue. This wasn't exactly two guys in an alleyway at 3AM. This was in broad daylight on a busy road. I know that doesn't count for much but I think that should come into the equation when dealing with completely lawful citizens. Keep your gun out, sure, but pointing it at his face? No justification for that.
AM I BEING DETAINED [editline]29th October 2014[/editline] AM I FREE TO GO?
But why is he being told to get down on the ground? He did nothing wrong, he was unarmed. According to him, there's nothing justifying the use of weapons anyways.
Because its a lawful order since the officer is investigating. Its the law to follow lawful orders. The weapon is there because a knife attack would be deadly against these officers. They dont know why this man is refusing to obey the orders.
Imagine if someone involved in police brutality used this sort of tactic. The camera person could be detained without cause and the officer involved could destroy the tape. This is why this can't excused.
That is not how it works. At all. If someone said that there was camera footage, and the officer took it, and its now missing... the courts would be bomb shelling the police station. You have an irrational fear of police.
You'd be upset too if you had a gun pointed at you by police officers funded by the government you swore and risked your life to protect.
Theres irony in this statement, but I cant find it.
