Even Donald Trump is opposed to North Carolina's discriminatory "Bathroom Bill" HB2
i do agree most of trump's supporters are racist hilbillies who will believe anything he says, but what i'm saying is that their is far more trump hate everywhere you look being spewed out by lefties. you won't ever see an article by CNN telling you about how retarded bernie sanders looks or that he had a silly last name once upon a time. you won't see ever high school teachers showing their class videos of bernie or hillary fucking up their lines
Not only are you flat out incorrect, but you're comparing "lefties" on the internet to CNN. Of course CNN won't run stories about funny names like people on the internet would. Instead, they'll just strategically ignore Bernie and post misleading polls and articles about how he can never beat Hillary. And "lefties" aren't the only ones spreading hate, go to r/The_Donald or any other conservative place and you'll see immense disdain for Bernie.

There's a stickied post at the top of the thread in r/The_Donald reassuring people that Trump isn't "a far left SJW fuckwit" / "a radical feminist cuck".
Classy.

Well one deals with an actual issue and equality while the other deals with religion.

It stops being a "religion" issue when marriage is done through legal channels and tax breaks are offered for married couples. Ceremonial marriage is religious and optional, the actual documentation is not. This also fails to describe being against civil unions. It's just a cop-out excuse to be against gay couples gaining legal recognition and benefits.

I'm against breaking the separation of state and church by having marriage go through governing bodies.

Marriage is not a religious process, so it doesn't matter if you're against that. That's not how it works.
I'm against breaking the separation of state and church by having marriage go through governing bodies.
I had this argument with one of my best friends the other day. No matter how you twist it. There is no religious context in the form of marriage that gays are seeking. No one wants to force your pastor to wed them. Hell, I'd bet most gays wouldn't even want to have that.
You can keep your church doors barricaded, but the government should be blind to the issue.
I'm thinking the best way to summarize Trump's stance on LGBT rights is "I don't like it but there's bigger problems to deal with at the moment"
well he is right about that but wrong about the part there is nothing wrong about being a LGBT

Where did marriage originate?(Hint: Most religions have a form of marriage)
Where did marriage originate?(Hint: Most religions have a form of marriage)
I'm not an expert on the origin of marriage, but I do know that a pretty fucking sizable chunk of human culture started religious and became more secular as our civilization did.

Are we going to start having the government regulate baptisms in exchange for tax exemptions?
Are we going to start having the government regulate baptisms in exchange for tax exemptions?
This is a nonsensical question. If you truly believe that baptisms are as broad and important in western civilization -- let alone worldwide -- as marriage, you're uninformed at best and willfully being ignorant at worst.
Where did marriage originate?(Hint: Most religions have a form of marriage)
If multiple cultures came up with it it's not religious, it's cultural.
Marriage is a cultural contract. Not a religious one.
Where did marriage originate?(Hint: Most religions have a form of marriage)
It doesn't matter where marriage originated. It matters what it is.
A) A government marriage is a legally recognized union between two individuals, allowing them to jointly work together under certain benefits by the government.
B) A religious marriage is a holy matrimony which, is strictly religious, and has absolutely no governmental value.
We are advocating for option A. No one wants to interfere with option B. Frankly, most of us would rather steer clear.

Exactly. The bigoted followers of Trump are trying their best to justify their bigotry and their support of Trump.
I support Trump because of his views on the economy and tougher immigration. Not hating people because they're different. Shit like this doesn't help perception of him at all.
Trump seems to have a lot of his supporters angry at him for this.
I thought that most of his supporters were normal people until I saw this outrage. Way to show your true colors.
Show their true colors?? What on Earth were you expecting from followers of a right-wing candidate who's primarily lauded for not being politically correct on a country where even the left can be middling on transgender subjects.

Dumb hicks have no other way to vilify transgenders without resorting to this bathroom crap. I'm sick of seeing this all over Facebook.
I think it's interesting the differences between genders and races when it comes to the bathroom controversy.
White 20-something men seem to be quite favorable towards it, shooting down anyone that complains. There are some dissenters, sure, but in most cases you can expect a white 20-something guy to be for it and fighting those against it the loudest. Older white men might be more against it, but I haven't seen too much of them.
White women are much more divided on the issue. Single white women seem to be for it, but white women with daughters, young women relatives, or abuse victims seem to be very much against it, citing the personal safety of themselves, their daughters, or their young women relatives as being much more important.
Blacks, whether they be men or women, are against it.

Where are you getting most of this information? Particularly on the race thing.

What do they define as "favorable", as opposed to "neutral"? Usually, the opinion I get of her from Sanders supporters is more along the lines of "I mean, I probably won't move to Canada if she wins", or "Well we can at least survive a Clinton administration", which I wouldn't really consider favorable, but maybe I've been hanging out with a different crowd.

Favorable is probably neutral and above.
