Here's what it'll look like:

Cool but weird.
Most Vocaloid songs I've heard have terrible high pitched robo-voices but there are a few that actually managed to fool me thinking it was a real singer.
Though I'm not really much a music fan so I don't go out of my way to find those good ones
Since Vocaloid music is a massive division, with the many different voices to choose and artists behind them, claiming it's all "kawaii uguu anime shit" is pretty ignorant.
I personally can't stand the majority, but quite a few have some kickass instrumentals backing the voices, and a couple work with pitches that can and will easily fool you into believing that you're actually listening to a real person singing rather than the synthesizer.
All in all, it's a good way for people with actual musical talent to produce music with singers without needing to be able to sing, or find/pay a singer to help them. At the same time, due to it's open-ended nature and relative lack of monetary cost, any old Joe can pick it up and use it.
vocaloids can be done right, but since its a new thing it tends to just be used as a gimmick
they are useful for people who can write but can't sing and the synthetic sound can be great for making a certain kind of atmosphere

vocaloid, like everything, is 90% crap, 10% good stuff, its just that the 90% crap is massively annoying.
Who?
i wanna see holographic 2pac (#2pacisalive) and hatsune miku in a duo
With the exception of a couple songs I really don't care for how Vocaloid sounds. Too high-pitched and robotic.
Moonbase Alpha TTS for best voice synth singing program.
In a way I really don't see this decision to be out of character for her.
I mean, she is the person who wore a dress made out of meat.
Anything involving Deino as the illustrator or Utsu-P as the producer or anyone else within that genre too.
Other examples of creators in the metal spectra (mostly metalcore for some reason) are Muryoku-P, Yuyoyuppe and Shiromeshi
There's also Al-Kamar, but that's a whole 'nother thing
hahaha yeah what kind of loser would want to go to something like that
dat mouse pad
Why? It's pretty damn cool that a musician can be a one man band and still have several singers without having to sing himself.
I really dont like the voices.
Honestly it sounds like Alvin and the Chimpunks using auto-tune to me.
So the world of anime crap is merging with the world of pop crap,
Another reason to stay indoors i guess.

And how many of the Vocaloid voices have you actually listened to?

It's more like it's the world of music that is mixing with the world of music

You seem more angry and hostile than the party you're giving this accusation to. Are you sure you're not just projecting your own hostility on the other party?

That's very generic anime uguu kawaii music right there.
Why can't this program make voices that don't sound like a robotic imitation of Alvin and the Chipmunks?
I mean I like the song but God damn that voice makes my skin crawl.

That depends on the preference or skill of the person who makes the song. Personally, I think it sounds fine. He could have made it lower pitch, like this.

Miku is just one out of 33, and there's the whole "how good with this one is the artist" factor too.
If you want to find one that doesn't "robotic imitation of Alvin and the Chipmunks" to you, then you could try and do that.
Only on Facepunch do you find people saying Miku sounds like a damn chipmunk.
Will this be the first time miku performs in america?

I'm enjoying this song a lot. Loving the chill out/uplifting trance vibe. Would you happen to know anymore songs like this?

I have no idea. I'd love more though.
