Pressure cooker bombs are what was used in the Boston Bombing.
I seriously hope we don't see pressure cooker regulations in the future.
I seriously hope we don't see pressure cooker regulations in the future.
These bombs have been used for over a decade, most notably in boston [editline]17th September 2016[/editline] You still need the explosives as far as I can tell, the pressure cooker just helps
Pressure cooker bombs have done a lot worse
Guess you're right, I'm just more familiar with the ones in Boston cause it was more recent
DAMN that dumpster took one for the team.
So I'm an EMT in NYC, and I just got off shift, we've been dealing with this all night. So the FDNY Counter-terrorism task force is convinced this is something called a "Feeler" attack, which is an attack that is used to 'feel out' our response to incidents like this. This is also in lieu of a pipebomb going off in a garbage bin on the jersey shore earlier during a race. This comes a day before the UN General Assembly meets. Last we checked with my Lieutenant, the official count is up to 28 wounded, one severely wounded.
And to think I was there just 48 hours ago. Scary stuff, I hope everyone recovers
I'm boutta drop a ban on people who derail the thread with Islam arguments so shhhh.
Understandable, we'll wait until it's confirmed to be Islamic related which I guarantee it will be :smug:
my finger is on the trigger buddy don't press your luck
my finger is on the trigger buddy don't press your luck
"I'm really hard, look at me threatening to ban someone because he's commented on something that might be related to Islam". If this was any other religion, you wouldn't be getting offended like you are now. I haven't talked about it in detail so
The fact of the matter is is that it's derailing and I ban for derailing. I have never participated in a debate about Islam in SH aside from like one thread for like two pages, I don't know why I would give a shit now lol. I just care that you're making dumb posts.

You clearly are caring considering your quickness to threaten the banhammer. I've been on this forum for like 10 minutes, stop acting like a child please. Anyway back to the subject topic, it's lucky that no-one has actually been killed, could have ended a whole lot worse.
If it does turn out to be related, I don't care if it's discussed. But it hasn't turned out to be related yet and there are still developing details and literally every time one of these threads goes on, the argument about religion absolutely eclipses all else and no one is able to get information because people are busy arguing when they shouldn't be. So I ban people for starting arguments prematurely when the thread can be used for better things. Doesn't matter if you've been here for 10 minutes or 10 years, I'll ban either way, man.

What a surprise. Sorry I worded it wrong, it's a bit embarassing how I've been here for ten minutes and a moderator is already acting like an immature child. Hopefully the other moderators aren't the same but I understand your points (Kind of).
Anyone who uses probe attacks or diversion attacks, is most likely not a lone wolf. I suspect that this is going to be a group of three or more, and the pressure cooker in that one picture from twitter, is definitely indicative of someone who's most likely been involved with reading a few of those Al' Quaeda and ISIS books.
account that has been here for ten minutes and already shitposting to the maximum OT: have they released stats yet
I'm still seeing only 29 people injured. CNN says they've all been released from the hospitals.
account that has been here for ten minutes and already shitposting to the maximum OT: have they released stats yet
Making a suggestion =/= Shitposting. You must be fun in debates.

There doesn't seem to be much info forthcoming for these incidents but thankfully no fatalities.

The post claims they were test bombs and more will follow, the reason stated is for LGBT rights. Personally I think it's fake as shit, but in the end that's for the real investigators to determine.

FBI released their main person of interest, 28 year old Ahmad Khan Rahami, an Afghani naturalized citizen. And what a surprise he's probably a Muslim. This is going to give Trump a good boost unfortunately.
And what a surprise he's probably a Muslim. This is going to give Trump a good boost unfortunately.
The sources say he is a naturalized citizen from Afghanistan. That tells me whatever his ideals were, they were overlooked when he came into the country. Trump being right isn't a bad thing because his polls will go up, its a bad thing because for whatever reason there's a lot of people who come to the US from other countries who want to harm us.
What's important to learn is if he came into this country under suspicion, or only came under surveillance recently. I still think this is like the times square bomber.
Oh look, another Islamic nutjob. Now I'm all for waiting for the facts to come in before placing a motive, but for those of you that shamed others for jumping to the Islamic motive. Shame on you.
