At least we didn't murder millions of Jews. Oh snap!
source?
I personally want the American taxpayer to subsidize my city as well
Okay, but only if you dress up as Crocodile Dundee every day.
Okay, but only if you dress up as Crocodile Dundee every day.
You mean there are Australians who don't look like crocodile dundee every day? Bloody crikey!
source?
NO DO NOT TURN THIS INTO ANOTHER HOLOCAUST DEBATE
Americans have murdered millions of native americans though
Uh, no. When Europeans first landed here in the Americas in 1492, there were roughly 8 million Native Americans living in North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean Islands. By 1800, there were only about 600,000 left- primarily concentrated west of the Mississippi River, making their livelihood as nomads. Most of the 7.2 million that had already perished succumbed to smallpox epidemics and were killed in wars that they'd fought with the English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese (big emphasis on the Spanish, who toppled the entire civilizations of the Incas, Mayans, and Aztecs). The United States fought 40 wars with the Native Americans, but didn't actually kill very many. 25,000 to 30,000 at most, at the cost of about 19,000 settlers and soldiers. Western Europe is not in danger of being invaded by anyone these days. The fact is that the global hotspot is no longer Europe(West vs Soviet Union) but in Asia(West vs China) and the Middle East(West vs anyone who would threaten oil supplies). Someday China may be a viable threat to send troops to invade. But they will be stuck with trying for Eastern Russia and the Russians will probably own them the way they owned the German army, or Taiwan where the US navy will own them, or head west and the Indian military will probably have something to say about that. We really don't need a large US military presence in W Europe since it wouldn't really help in those scenarios.
"becauze americuh is eval guyz dey want to start warz"
Oh yeah, lets ignore that the US' long and tired history of being at war. I'm curious as to what spiked them in 2006 & 07
And even then, it doesn't say what caused every last one of them. A civilian tripping and breaking open his melon during a firefight still counts as a casualty, but it's not caused by anyone.
See what you would do Ron Paul?
Alright, let's send troops back into Iraq and make sure they don't fall apart. Perry/Zedacon 2012
I like how everyone is arguing over which country is essentially more evil due to wars and similar acts.
Alright, let's send troops back into Iraq and make sure they don't fall apart. Perry/Zedacon 2012
Ooh, now if only I had said that. You know jackshit, don't start with me. I'm not talking about reoccupying Iraq or any of that shit, I'm glad we got out and want us to stay the hell out of the Middle East because they don't want us there. But this article is about people in Germany who actually do want us there and will be heavily impacted by the soldiers leaving. And if you had read any of my previous posts, you would know I can't stand Rick Perry anymore than Ron Paul. I can't stand anyone with the GOP. I think they are all incompetent fucks who shouldn't be allowed to run a lemonade stand. But nice attempt with the straw man.
so basically spend more money to make some Germans happy as opposed to using it to fix the broken US economy?
Pulling them out will do absolutely nothing to fix the economy. Nothing at all. The problems with our economy are far, far bigger than just an over-inflated military budget, and many times more so than a base in Germany.

I have to worry about having money for healthcare and education, but I guess the Germans need it more
There were other incidents besides war. Did you forget about those?
Nope. Those other incidents (like Sand Creek, Sugar Point, Four Corners, and the Crazy Snake Rebellion) are factored into the casualty figures for both sides. It's not anywhere near millions of deaths like Lambeth claimed.
