Sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture, Lankist. Besides, America isn't the only country sending aid to countries where famine, sickness, starvation, and exploitation is rampant. Other countries would help pick up the slack should some of your funding be diverted. (I'm not suggesting you cut off all international aid, by the way.)
