It's not irony at all, Hitler was white, whether his ancestors where of a different race doesn't matter. The reason Hitler killed off the other races is because he wanted to create a master race of people with blond hair and blue eyes and saw none whites as a disease, I doubt he really cared what some people in his past may have been, what mattered to him was the creation of a pure race.
I fucking knew it. Oh the irony here is just delicious, it's just too bad no one can actually go back and tell him this.
