How much did Black Ops ship?
5.6 million copies in it's first 24 hours in the US. 7 million including the UK.
Once I get my new gaming system built, I can kiss my social life goodbye.
What's this, another thread about the campaign?
how witty!
I'm interested to know if that figure includes the number of digital versions sold, and what percentage of the shipped copies are for PC.
Me too. I bought it digitally. I'll be playing this with friends and even some of my teachers. :v:
How much did Black Ops ship?
If memory serves right, I think it was 16million the first week.
i would buy it on origin, but im afraid itll pull a stunt like last time i bought a game on there. bought crysis 2 on my account just today (it was 16 bucks with a promo code) and it decided to go full retard and give it to my dads account. i have never signed into my dads account on his computer. (i know it was my account because mine has no games on it. my dads has a bunch of sims games.) i think i will just get the xbox version thank you very much.
i hope MW3 sells less
It's still not out in the UK so it's not over yet
They would already have been shipped to UK stores. My store did.
i hope MW3 sells less
Why?
And watch when Skyrim releases.
CoD fanboy response: its on. (my brother got this though, we're comparing games.)
CoD fanboy response: its on. (my brother got this though, we're comparing games.)
Compare what? The fact that they're
COMPLETELY FUCKING DIFFERENT?

And watch when Skyrim releases.
I seriously doubt Skyrim would sale more than BF or CoD. I'm no fanboy, I'm just being realistic. I could being wrong though.
Shipped =/= sold to customers
This is indeed true, but given how fast they're flying off our shelves, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they hit 10 million sales by Sunday.
Compare what? The fact that they're
COMPLETELY FUCKING DIFFERENT?

I dunno, the BF3 campaign could have been a CoD one from what I've played so far.
I dunno, the BF3 campaign could have been a CoD one from what I've played so far.
Not gonna lie, BF3's campaign has been noticeably worse than any CoD campaign I've played. They're about the same length but in CoD it's actually fun while it lasts. BF multiplayer I like ten times better though.

I'd like to see it broken down to platforms and regions.
Wonder how many ore they'd have sold if it was available on steam.
Wonder how many ore they'd have sold if it was available on steam.
I think maybe about another 2 million, QUICK TELL EA! maybe they will make orgin lite or something and make games available via steam! [editline]28th October 2011[/editline]
And watch when Skyrim releases.
Trust me, I won't have that much, maybe 5 million at most in the first week. but you never know, I canceled my BF3 preorder for skyrim. BF3 can wait, I have BC2 and BF2 to fill it in for now.
i hope MW3 sells less
Mw2 will probably sell twice as many copies.
Why?
Because then it would prove that you don't make the most money through milking a dead franchise but innovating and creating a good game. It would set a good example for other game developers.
Ugg, this upsets me. I don't want origin to succeed, nor do I want EA to benefit from it.
Mw2 will probably sell twice as many copies.
MW2 is already out and they didn't get this much
If you have the physical warfare edition, is it meant to come with 2 serial keys, one for the game, one for the DLC?
Lol my girlfriend said a bunch of dudes in her class were all talking about MW3 v BF3 and some airforce guy came in and shut them up saying BF3 has better graphics.
Lol my girlfriend said a bunch of dudes in her class were all talking about MW3 v BF3 and some airforce guy came in and shut them up saying BF3 has better graphics.
Fucking fuck fuckshit. Technically it does, but the argument is bullshit. "Better graphics" is a completely opinionated statement, but no one seems to realize this. I love the way The Legend of Zelda on the NES looks and I think it has better graphics than Crysis. LoZ has better graphics. "DICE has put a ton of work into developing their Frostbite 2 engine and it's admirable that they care so much about the aesthetics of the game. IW/Sledgehammer are recycling the same engine used since the earlier COD games and are making no effort to improve the visuals (being an immersive element that make games more enjoyable as a part of the whole)." ...would be a much better argument, if that's what you really care about.

Better graphics = higher quality. You can't have an opinion that one thing is higher quality than the other.
What a piece of ship!
That pun was so shitty that my humor hit an iceberg.
