Battlefield 3 has shipped 10M Units in little over 2 days

This is a good thing, but on the other hand, this shows EA that origin is profitable and they will continue to keep adding their games only there and not on steam.
i hope MW3 sells less
Except it won't. Idk where people are getting that MW3 will sell less than MW2, it's an improved game with more and cooler features, AND it has the annoying aspects on MW2 taken out of it. They nerfed the noobtubes as well. I honestly think this will be the perfect CoD game, as there was always something wrong with the others.
Lol my girlfriend said a bunch of dudes in her class were all talking about MW3 v BF3 and some airforce guy came in and shut them up saying BF3 has better graphics.
Not kidding or trolling, but I SERIOUSLY think the BF3 graphics look bad. BFBC2 had better graphics that BF3 seems to have. It's weird because BF3 graphics were EXTREMELY hyped up to no end, and yet, the retail has bleh graphics, just so... boring. The color scheme is bleh, everything's so shady.

You do realize that this is the exact same thing that people have been saying before every CoD since 4, right?

Eh, black ops had two problems: Famas and AK74 U, but those were nerfed. So I think WaW and mw2 were probably the furthest away from balanced. Especially since WaW seemed so unfinished. I heard somewhere that it was just an experiment.
Why?
If BF3 outsells it, then the CoD developers might be forced to actually introduce something new into one of their games, shock horror
Waiting for the Steam version here.
I really hope they release it on Steam so I won't be stuck using Origin.

Oh it's not that bad, it uses much less RAM than Steam and yet serves the same purpose.
It downloads things faster than Steam, though this may just be down to usage.

They did already, its called No Russian.
I think maybe about another 2 million, QUICK TELL EA! maybe they will make orgin lite or something and make games available via steam!
Better yet rename origin to bf3launcher
I believe the sales may have reach over 2 million copies by now
Black Ops only sold 2 million in five days, holy shit.
[editline]29th October 2011[/editline]
MW2 sold 4.7 million in first 24 hours.
[editline]29th October 2011[/editline]
HOLY SHIT, BF3's sold is said to be at least one and a half times as strong as MW2's launch.

Ah, the source I looked at didn't include pre-orders.
And watch when Skyrim releases.
not as many rpg nerds as guys who want to shoot things mindlessly and watch them explode while yelling in a fake russian accent
I heard somewhere that it was just an experiment.
it wasn't

Sadly. I'm more hyped for Skyrim and Arkham City than BF3.

I'm not interested in BF3 nor MW3, and I don't really know why.
It just doesn't seem unique or entertaining, though I'm sure there's a lot of other people that'll enjoy it.

Probably because it's yet another generic military fps shooter. There really isn't much innovation in bf3 compared to say, bf2. I can see how some could get bored after modern fps shooters since companies shit them out so often it's ridiculous.
I am waiting for Skyrim and Saints Row 3, not bf3 or mw3. I probably will get bf3 when it's on discount but for now I'm saving money on these two games.
too fucking bad some NZ/AUS Limited edition retail is fucked up.

I completely agree. I'm not interested in SP because from what I've heard it's extremely linear and like Black Ops with good graphics. MP would be fun, but I suck and in the beta I spent most of the time running to the front line or waiting to respawn.
Oh and most importantly, I hate having to play as a level 1 guy against max level guys and getting killed by weapons I can't even use yet. It's slightly annoying in TF2, but last time I played the newer weapons weren't better, just different. In BF3 they are straight upgrades which just sucks ass.
I hope Skyrim sells more
still didnt beat my game dev story record
fuck yeah

Is it bad that I'm really excited for MW3, and MASSIVELY INSANELY excited for Saints Row 3?

How can that be bad? You enjoy fps/mw series. No one really cares, except the bandwagon with overblown ego.

Which makes it funnier to me when I run around with a M16A3 and kick people's asses.
I never played the Elderly Scrolls franchise and have no intention to buy SkyRim. The reason is because I hate fantasy stories but I never go around bashing a game that I never played before.
I have a reason to hate the call of duty franchise nowadays because I had played that game before and had felt the terrible inkiness of MW2. But I do admit BF3 have some flaws. playing Battlefield 3 had me wondering why they put QTEs for SP and why the Support class is now the ammo distributor. It makes him an overpowered guy with a lot of bullets.
But anyways, this game might have sold 8 million copies world wide by the end of November, both PC and Consoles combined.

Actually, Support aren't OP, its the god damn snipers. WE need VOIP and servers need the ability to limit how many per class.
Not saying Skyrim will sell better than BF3, I only think the life time of skyrim will last longer.

Doubtful. BF2 still has a very active community.

So does morrowind, well, very active comparatively for a singleplayer game.
