The better point to make is that an emulator is much more than a CPU core.
Also, it is inaccurate to say that "the Wii processor isn't based on the GameCube processor". The Wii really is just an overclocked Gamecube, which is why Dolphin (a Gamecube emulator) supports it. The two systems even use the same exact video and sound hardware! The only major difference is that the Wii has some secondary processor (Starlet, I think), which, IIRC, controls access to certain hardware (like the USB ports). That secondary processor is what runs the various "IOS" modules that homebrew users are familiar with.
The Wii is basically two gamecubes. It's 2.2 times as powerful as a gamecube.
In the video you can clearly see it lagging frames, especially compared to the Wii U version. While it's certainly impressive to have it running, saying this is nearly as playable as actual hardware is incredibly misleading. PC players constantly complain at not having 60fps options, and in the comparison video it's definitely not running at 60p on the PC, and it's freezing up randomly and not smooth at all.
A refurbished Wii U is $200. It'll run BotW much better than a PC using this emulator by the time it comes out, even if it's not in 4k it'll still look fine

Yes, that is a problem for SOME people when the actual developer doesn't support it, don't think everyone needs it. BOTW doesn't have such fast gameplay like Mario Kart, so framerate drops will not be so noticeable.
Also, I doubt a small number of people people who would even bother playing this on an emulator mind little imperfections like this. I'm happy I can play some of my old PS2 games on my PC now to get that nostalgia fix. I don't mind if is not perfect, it's a free emulator and it works, it's not like I bought it from Sony.
So is CEMU at a point now where you can have a 'real' playthrough of Mario, Windwaker, or Mario Kart 8 and have a seamless experience with low to no graphical/framerate issues? Like is it actually ready for normal consumption?
It's still a bit quirky afaik. It won't be long before it'll be able to provide a better experience than the original hardware, though

If this were a PS3 ($80) or a 360 ($60) we were talking about you'd have a point but I'm really not seeing how $200 is more worth than just putting up with a framerate that isn't a constant 60.
Especially when it's not like any of the exclusives that I want to play that aren't made by Nintendo can keep a solid 60 FPS going in the first place.
