// Yeah, it's hardcoded. I don't give a shit.
// why I should need do this Fuck alone knows. But I do

The UI doesn't fit right though afaik.
Outside of stretching it was fine for me IIRC, although now that I think about it there were issues with the videos not working.
Also, if it's lagging for anyone and you have a moderately powerful computer, turn off dynamic glow. Either through the menu or /r_dynamicglow 0
Those games are really old though, and by the time someone makes something decent out of it they will be even older. Not that I don't enjoy playing older games, I just don't think many will put down effort into making something very few will actually play.
A lot of games had revivals once they got their hands on the source code. Go check out Zandronum, a new engine built off of Doom (yes, old school Doom). If you're wondering it used to be Skulltag but *insert drama here* now it's called Zandronum. You will need the doom2.wad, but once you got that and Zandronum, you can run Doomseeker (the multiplayer server browser) and find a server and go. It will download the mods for you and everything. Some of those mod packs are better than modern retail games, no joke.
I might just have to get back into JKA, it really is a fun game despite its age. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a few cool things in the game's development not too long from now.

No joke indeed.

Some of these are gold

More agitation.

//on ground and not moving and on level ground, no reason to do stupid fucking gravity with the clipvelocity!!!!
//SIGH... fucks him up BAD
//SIGH... spine wiggles fuck all this shit
//just get the fuck out
//FUCK IT, always check for do not enter...
//ask them what the fuck they're doing
// Need to extern these. We can't #include qcommon.h because some fuckwit used LS_NONE to mean both a lightstyle and a sabermove.

Now we just need Battlefront 3 source code and we'll be set.
I fucking loved this. Me and my cousin would cheat to get on the multiplayer-only maps and start spawning npcs like crazy , then throw a couple rancors in and see who would win.
I actually still have a few copies of Jedi Academy lying around in my house, I also have Dark Forces 2 and Jedi Outcast buried somewhere :smile:

// fuck the leap years
// None of this shit works, because whatever you set the current document to MS override it with a derived name, and since the CWinApp class can't even ask what it's own fucking document pointer is without doing a hundred lines of shit deep within MFC then I'm going to fuck the whole lot off by storing a pointer which I can then...All this fucking bollocks was because MS insist on doing their own switch-comparing so I can't pass in 'real' switches, I have to use this '#' crap. Stupid fucking incompetent MS dickheads. Like how hard would it be to...

I want Dark Forces 2 on the JK engine now.
Or at least the weapons from DF2, the Concussion Rifle was so fun to use in DF1 and 2, JKA's version was kinda eh, and JK2 didn't even have it.
JK2 was a great game though, Raven was really good at making Star Wars games.

Quake 1 is less popular than doom and still has maps and mods coming out every week. A whole new intuitive level editor was just released for it. Duke Nukem 3D constantly sees new maps as well, and there are countless others.
Somebody just fucking remade Duke Nukem Forever 2001 in Duke 3D.
Dark Forces 1 has an ongoing fan project that completely reverse-engineered the engine from the ground up to make a port, so does Daggerfall by the same guy.
Descent and Descent 2 both have multiple source port projects that each have their own features.
Unreal has an unofficial patch that adds modern renderers and fixes prior problems and adds tons of new features and improves mod support (Epic gave them the source code), and mods are being made for that too
Doesn't really matter how many or few people will play these things, this is something the people who like these games want to do, and even if the people are few, they still care just as much about the games.
