Train drivers have to do mandatory psychological tests and reports because of suicides.

They're pretty much told from day one "you're gonna kill someone eventually and there's nothing you can do about it."

Looks like Kevin Spacey
that is one truly horrific hairline.

Holy shit.
If you're close enough to the train to touch it with a 6 foot pole, then you're still too close. Trains are not meant to be fucked with. Things can and will be tossed up and around by them.
What about subway trains?

first thing it reminded me of
You can also see that the train conductor wasn't really inteding to kick him, he was just pushing his head gently away from danger with his boot.
Saved his life?

The Youtube comments are so fucking stupid, most are saying the conductor is an evil asshole
Ain't that a kick in the head.

He's the hero that the narcissistic youth needs not the one it deserves.
Note that the foot is right over a metal protrusion that would have fucked him up more than a little jaw pain. Hearing the conductor call out to him beforehand, he's a hero and the kid is a fucking moron for almost getting himself boned over a shitty pseudo-artsy selfie
Note that it's not actually. There could have been a protrusion further down the train, but the conductor's leg is clearly sticking out further than any protrusions.
Hopefully this will be added as a feature in the next train simulator edition.

I just want to point out, looking at the other frames it's clear the two horizontal lines there are on the body of the train, and the curve is just a fold in his pants. The closest object to the kid was the ladder steps, which still looks like it can't be more than a foot behind him.

I wonder if the conductor's leg is ok

this line goes with the gif too damn perfectly.
I want to jump off a volcano into a hot spring that turns into ice now
Honestly it looks like the conductors leg is literally pressed against the object that would have hit him, deadening the "would be" blow to that dudes head.
It probably didn't feel very good for the conductor, but he more than likely saved the mans life by doing so.

it's obviously fine, there wasn't any metal behind his leg like people speculated. just look.

unless there was a piece of the train that's sticking out that isn't captured by the video, the guy didn't save his life, he just kicked him in the face lol
Keep in mind the conductor didn't know he was trying to make a selfie. All he sees is some kid with earplugs in backing up to the train tracks.
At the very least he made sure that kid wouldn't pull some fucked up stunt like that again.
I'm not being butthurt but it wouldn't of been funny if the guy got seriously hurt.
He wasn't doing anything preposterous in the first place. I mean getting a selfie by a traveling train is one of those "bucket list" things.
It was dumb of him to a level. But the conductor chancing kicking him in the neck while on a traveling train is a little preposterous itself.

Used to play with a dude that was "driving" those big ass freight trains you americans have that go cross country, the ones that takes forever to slow down, he's hit like a fuckton of wildlife and three cars during the time he's worked on them. The animals just get misted and the cars don't even slow it down a tiny bit, shit must be horrifying walking out of the train after getting to your location and seeing the front cart, where you've been in, just coated with blood and metal bits.

We've got over 100 people on the first page heralding the conductor as some sort of lifesaving hero because he kicked a guy in the face for the sake of it. Not that the idiot didn't deserve it.
Get off your flying cellphone scooters and think next time... Bloody selfie culture.
