This usually reminds me of schools where half of the staff acts like they are still in high school. For fuck sake its her natural hair, why the hell does it have to be a different color.
Technically they are.
They wouldve loved my massive ginger afro
Had to take my retake my passport photo 4 times because my hair wouldnt fit in the frame
yo this girls hot
This is bullshit, we are in 2015, why do we have to ban people from public institutions for their hair color?
Correct me if im wrong, but I don't think this is a public institution. It seems more like what we (Americans) call charter schools, which by technicality is a public school but privately run. In other words, its a stuck up Christian school that can get away with stupid things like this. I doubt it would happen at a public school.
I was getting at how they were worked up about "distracting hair colours" when her hair isn't as unusual and attention-grabbing as electric blue, since people are naturally wired to spot things that are out of the ordinary and deviate from the patterns they've come to know.
Still, training oneself to not be distracted is a skill that should be taught, since while it is important to seek things that deviate from the common pattern, one should not let some of the less important "anomalies" keep their attention when there are more important things to focus on. Like how to get into politics and NOT succumb to corruption and blackmail, for instance. (apparently that's one of the reasons why transfusing new blood into politics doesn't always work, not to mention that many politics students end up regretting their decision)
Y'know, I never got that excuse even. I've seen girls with blue hair, green hair, purple hair, rainbow hair, fades of blue and almost white blonde, any combination you can think of, from subdued to bright neon, and some guys here have died their hair a deep red, and I've never once been distracted by it. Usually I think it's neat, but it's not like I'm unable to do my work, staring at the back of their heads or something. It's not an issue.
Methinks this may just be an excuse by crotchety old people to stop young people from expressing themselves and doing minor things they don't like.
yo this girls hot
shes 17
What fucking year is this, the early 16th century?
Fucking hell
shes 17
That is actually either above or at the age of consent for most of the planet
What a cutie. This is why we gingers need to create our own ethnocentric state like Israel, nobody wants us :v:
Prejudice against red hair is real. I used to get bullied a lot in grade school because of my hair. It just isn't as serious as other issues like race and religion so it gets downplayed a ton.
I wish a lot of people were better educated on this.
shes 17
If you think she's attractive you're a pedophile and deserve to go to jail!! No real man would ever go for a 17-year old girl.
yo this girls hot
That's pretty creepy, even if you argue age of consent throughout the rest of the world.
That's pretty creepy, even if you argue age of consent throughout the rest of the world.
It's less creepy when you actually consider the age demographic of the forum is teenagers to young adults and she is above the age of consent for almost all of the users on the forum.
It's creepy in general to say something like that about a person completely out of context of the article.

I agree!
while i think this ban is fucking stupid, the actual recent picture of her is far from the op one

That's not too orange.
Rather close to me own hair colour.

Is the parking picture any relevant or is it just here to fuck with me

pretty damn orange; but still not worth screwing someones senior exams for
Like I would understand is this was an actual reason; I had multiple people with purple hair/ blue at my high school never get in trouble. But it's still a hair color you could legitimately be born with.
Stupid shit
That's pretty creepy, even if you argue age of consent throughout the rest of the world.
It's not even the "rest" of the world, assuming you mean the US. The majority of the US has an age of consent of 16 or 17
[thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/48/Age_of_Consent_-_North_America.svg[/thumb]
(blue is 16, vomit colour is 17, and bright green is 18). But this is all getting heinously off topic. The point is she's being discriminated against for her hair colour and there should be charges against the people who did so.
Is the parking picture any relevant or is it just here to fuck with me
prob an article picture to show the school
Of course Britain would ban a ginge from school
Methinks this may just be an excuse by crotchety old people to stop young people from expressing themselves and doing minor things they don't like.
It's probably partially that (fuck the Tories), and partially that not everyone is that hard to distract. Some people are easily distracted, even if not everyone.

This, this so much. It's fucking stupid. Even today I find it kinda insulting when people ask what hair dye I use. Like can you not see my skin tone? Maybe it's because I don't have a shit-ton of freckles?
Luckily in high school the staff realized it wasn't dyed so I never got in trouble like some of the people with dyed hair.
Man the article sure is something.

I get that this is supposed to be funny or something, but come on.

They say so at the bottom of the article.
*Note: The author of this article admits she is completely biased because of her red hair.
I did 5 minutes worth of research. The original article is from the Mirror, a UK tabloid which does not count as news.
Other stuff doesn't really add up. The (probably stock) photo of the school is of a different facility than this student would be attending. The school has released no statement at all about this. There are no other publications reporting this.
Conclusion: This is a tabloid story which may or may not be true.
Try vetting articles before posting them.
Oh wait this is Sensationalist Headlines and if we critically examined articles before posting them, then we would miss out on all our post ratings.
