If I could trade in saints row 2 and STALKER for their full prices seeing as I bought both of them on offer, I could be all :smug:
Why do you believe what Micheal Pachter say? i bet he just pretends working there :v:
Not really. They aren't losing money. They give you fake money like Nexon does Nx Cash or such that you can use to buy other games. They wouldn't be giving you real money.
But they'd lose money when you invested the fake money on a new game.
That was a sale that was lost. You can throw piracy logic into saying "But he/she wouldn't buy it otherwise so it isn't really a lost sale as it was never going to be sold in the first place", but it doesn't really work when it comes to this matter, at all.
This is basically a system that would transfer to the clothing business like this: "Hey, I've used these 3 pants for 5 years now and I'm getting quite tired of them, could I turn them in and get this brand new pair of pants?". Where is the logic in that? You spent money on something in their shop so you should get new free products for being "a good customer"? What?
Oh fuck oh fuck we're gonna be poor
Michael Pachter was wrong again. What a surprise.
:suicide:
Not surprising...
but you can trade in 3 steam games for 1 hat

oh well
No duh.
Imagine people buying like 30 copies on something similar to when they did the $2 TF2 and then selling them online for $15 each. I suppose something like this is part of the reason why they don't want to do it.
That and the obvious loss of money they'd make.
I saw the very bit of this thread from the Main site. I was excited as shit.
Then I saw the entire title :saddowns:
