There isn't, it's just people going crazy about the fact he killed few people of colour and clearly people who imply this are racist themselves, otherwise it should not matter if it was people of colour or not.
The source believes the developers are racist not because of the game but because of associating themselves with racist organisations.
In this photo of the development team, we can see that one of the developers wears a shirt depicting a historical anti-communist military group (Żołnierze wyklęci, historically associated with the Freikorps) that is lionised by right wing extremists.
Shit I have the exact same t-shirt somewhere
Doesn't matter. Looks like a shitty game. At least postal games TRIED to be funny. I get to kill enough things in video games as it is, and there is usually a goal associated with it instead of this steaming pile of shit.
"I am okay with having to kill people if I am given a convincing reason for it" damn you guys are kinda fucked up
The source believes the developers are racist not because of the game but because of associating themselves with racist organisations.
Big boho, so devs are racist, are they displaying it in their game? Should it even matter what their views and beliefs are in their lives, they are making a product, they are not selling you their soul.
Would you work for a small company whose CEO is a neonazi? Have you heard of Postal?
Postal is satire. This isn't.
Postal is satire. This isn't.
Actually it kind of is a satire but a morbid one, let's just say the effects are seen in the public and that's what makes up for it and it will be even more satirical when people will buy the shit out of this game. I might be wrong but that's how I tried to understand it.
I don't see what the problem with this is, it looks like a HD Postal and where was the bit in the trailer where it lingered of "people of colour" all it did was show off whatever the devs thought looked neat as an execution.
This "hate group" can't even use proper grammar/punctuation is their "news" blog posts
Would you work for a small company whose CEO is a neonazi? Have you heard of Postal?
So because it has been done before means nobody else can try doing the same?
I like how people try to justify Postal games yet they have been accused of the same things as this game just in the last decade or so.
Postal is satire. This isn't. [editline]17th October 2014[/editline] Um. Yes. I'd rather not give Nazis any money????
"I'm not buying that game, the CEO has different views and beliefs than me!" I could not care less if the CEO hated jews, if the game is good I will buy it. If the CEO is a neo-nazi, buying his game doesn't mean you support his views or his group.
Postal is satire. This isn't. [editline]17th October 2014[/editline] Um. Yes. I'd rather not give Nazis any money????
Then don't give them any? Won't change their beliefs and views, which, as bad and immoral as they might be, are still their own choices and, as long as they don't shove it in your face or actually do something illegal, I don't see a real problem with it.
"I am okay with having to kill people if I am given a convincing reason for it" damn you guys are kinda fucked up
then why dont u go back to the rainforest and hug a tree u hippie.
This should have been more controversial and edgy, with shooting up schools and churches and whatnot And it shouldn't have been so serious Then it would be fun, but also banned in most countries
Actually it kind of is a satire but a morbid one, let's just say the effects are seen in the public and that's what makes up for it and it will be even more satirical when people will buy the shit out of this game. These dudes are edgy manchilds as shown by the very OP of the thread you are posting in and even more by their statement about the game. If this is satire it's really really bad and lazy satire. It's a fucking video game, they can create whatever they want and they can have their own opinions and your rants and insults won't change a thing. Game's gonna get finished and people will buy it. Bunch of sissy crybabies, I wonder if Postal 2 was released today would you still be saying "but it's a satire of the USA!" and not "it's a genocide simulator!" after seeing a vague, short trailer.

[editline]17th October 2014[/editline] But you are supporting him with money??
This shouldn't matter if a dev is awesome, sure it's cool if you need customer support, I'm not looking to hold your hand, all I want is a product as a customer. All we got is a glimpse of the trailer for this game, it's very in your face, the character is your typical goth metalhead because metal music is in your face so his character is designed around this. This is also the way I see some games, replace zombies with civilians in any game and there you have it, first and foremost idea about zombies was having all these poor innocent civilians turn into monsters so you can justify killing them but hey we get a dude who's out to kill people and it's so wrong on so many levels, this exact same thing was done in Postal 2 expansion. All this controversy makes me think that people are really better way off living their lives with censorship.
The fact that it's serious is what makes it awesome though. Otherwise no one would give a shit about The Room.
"I am okay with having to kill people if I am given a convincing reason for it" damn you guys are kinda fucked up
Are you a bit dense? Killing things in video games is a means to an end, hardly ever the sole point of the game and in fact many of them let you complete the game without killing anything.
This honestly doesn't bother me at all because all I see in the end is bits I might have to go see a doctor or something
I don't know man but maybe a game where a dude is supposed to do errands with Gary Coleman in it seems more satire to me than a game where the goal is "kill people and then yourself"?
But IIRC Postal 1 was exactly that. I agree its disconcerting that a supposedly neo-nazo group of developers make a game like this, but like posted, it's not like the game is built around killing minorities. Which, actually surprises me, now I think about it. Maybe killing minorities gives bonus points?
If nothing else, I like how the "protagonist" of the game actually looks like a mass shooter, a freak with long greasy hair and a slimy looking trench coat, i guess an origin story where he becomes too edgy for his own good after getting stuffed in his locker with a wedgie one to many times is too much to hope for? .
Honestly, I kinda expect this game to be shit for some reason but I'm not gonna argue it now, we'll wait and see
It's obvious you've never set foot in the real world if you typify whether or not someone is a mass murderer based on what they look like.
actually i think typifying people based on their looks is very common irl
Not the type of game that appeals to me but it seems like it does what it's supposed to pretty well actually.
I get the feeling people saying the trailer doesn't show racism, that the game itself is later going to reveal itself to have a lot of it
This shouldn't matter if a dev is awesome, sure it's cool if you need customer support, I'm not looking to hold your hand, all I want is a product as a customer.
When it comes to this case though, I don't see why anyone should care about the devs considering their beliefs, or their work their beliefs are bent around the idea of hating people to death, is it really surprising to you that people hate them back? and the devs being massive shit lords is important. The support people get for ubisoft games is insanely low and they have an extremely negative attitude towards PC, so of course PC gamers are not going to buy their product.
It's obvious you've never set foot in the real world if you typify whether or not someone is a mass murderer based on what they look like.
Or maybe its a Its a work of fiction where the way people look really was designed with character in mind and im allowed to judge the fictional characters accordingly?. Im just saying, i like how the main character of a game about a deranged mass shooter looks the part of a social outcast, instead of being made to look like a badass people would aspire to be, calm down mate.
