Where does it say anything about suicide bombing?
In the OP
"I was saying how Osama was dead and for Obama to be careful because there could be suicide bombers," says LaPinta. A week later, while Vito was in his fourth period class, he was called in to the principal's office. "A man walked in with a suit and glasses and he said he was part of the Secret Service," LaPinta said. "He told me it was because of a post I made that indicated I was a threat toward the President."
:derp:
Of course this would happen in Tacoma
You still didn't have to be an ass Kopimi. Yes the quote broke.
You still didn't have to be an ass Kopimi. Yes the quote broke.
I was being an ass because he was talking down to "The golden" saying he must be a white upper-middle class kid for him to think this kid wasn't capable of being a suicide bomber.
I was being an ass because he was talking down to "The golden" saying he must be a white upper-middle class kid for him to think this kid wasn't capable of being a suicide bomber.
...What? In what alternate dimension did I say anything like that?
...What? In what alternate dimension did I say anything like that?

I'm guessing you're an upper-middle class white suburban kid if you honestly think that a 13 year-old isn't capable of messed up shit

They did it to Something Awful: [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29483720/2ijhq2f.png[/img_thumb] http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3365121
Didn't notice image was broken; fixed.
Kind of hard to believe that anybody could be stupid enough to even joke about killing the president
I'm going to kill Obama tomorrow at 11 AM. I hope you enjoy your flight trip to Norway, Secret Service man.
what happens if the SS actually does come after him :psyduck:
what happens if the SS actually does come after him :psyduck:
I was going to report him to the FBI but I have no idea how
Kind of hard to believe that anybody could be stupid enough to even joke about killing the president
i didn't even realize it was against the law till like a year or two ago [editline]18th May 2011[/editline]
I was going to report him to the FBI but I have no idea how
http://tips.fbi.gov ITT: facepunch gets added to the fbi watch list
So basically. Child does what they think is the kind thing to do, and warns Obama about possible threats to his life that MIGHT be out there. Child gets interrogated. Sounds like the right course of action to me. Good call secret service.

Why aren't more of you disturbed by the fact that the secret service is apparently monitoring your facebook pages for suspicious looking things?
Why aren't more of you disturbed by the fact that the secret service is apparently monitoring your facebook pages for suspicious looking things?
i am but i realize i don't use facebook for shit anymore, just when some stupid site needs to use it.
Why aren't more of you disturbed by the fact that the secret service is apparently monitoring your facebook pages for suspicious looking things?
how is that offensive? besides, it was probably reported to them anyway. I doubt they have people scanning every single facebook comment being made
I believe he was saying your a shit poster. Just a guess.
woah you don't say
lol, america is free
i wouldnt if this had happened me, it would be hilarious and i would troll mr. secret service man to hell and back.
Why aren't more of you disturbed by the fact that the secret service is apparently monitoring your facebook pages for suspicious looking things?
Because they aren't, and some idiot just reported the kid's post?
Wait, am I in trouble now? I'm getting paranoid, better snip it.
Secret Service better watch out if they are looking at this thread. Something might just happen. If you know what I mean.
Let's be serious, guys. Is it even plausible that the SS will go after a 15 year old in Norway who made an obvious joke about killing the U.S. president?
Let's be serious, guys. Is it even plausible that the SS will go after a 15 year old in Norway who made an obvious joke about killing the U.S. president?
They're americans, of course they fucking will, they're trying to get an aussie to the US so they can arrest him as a terrorist, everything is possible.
It might have already been asked, but: I want to know how they found out he posted that. I mean do they just sit there combing through posts looking for posts about matters of national security (a term which is laughable in this exact case)?

i dont see the big deal, the kid learned a good lesson. thinking twice before you post something on the internet is a valuable habit that not a lot of people posses.
i dont see the big deal, the kid learned a good lesson. thinking twice before you post something on the internet is a valuable habit that not a lot of people posses.
The big deal is that it is illegal for a law enforcement officer to interrogate a minor without a parents consent.
The big deal is that it is illegal for a law enforcement officer to interrogate a minor without a parents consent.
im trying to look at this from a moral standpoint.
Is it possilbe to contact the FBI anonymously? [editline]18th May 2011[/editline] I guess the worst thing that can happen is that I will be blocked from entering the United States. I really doubt I will even be questioned. But still, I will be more careful with what I post on the internet from now on.
