• Ubisoft tells gamers to stop ‘bitching’ about lack of I Am Alive for PC

i haven't bought a single ubisoft game since Silent Hunter 5 using shity drm.
What a nice thing to say to the community. I'm sure he will be the new Gaben, but even more polite and kind.
I can't say I've pirated a game for a long time now. None of them are worth the trouble of trying to find since chances are I'd have to buy it to play with my friends online anyways. Either way 50,000 copies at 50 USD a piece is 2.5million USD. Three months of work for 12 guys doesn't seem all that bad to me, if they're confident in their game that is.
I don't think anyone was waiting to get it after first gameplay video anyway
It's like they want to morally encourage pirates.
who cares they make shit games anyway
who cares they make shit games anyway
Not really, they just ruin good games with absolutely fucking horrid DRM.
terrible reason to pirate at least admit you're doing it for free shit
My friend bought From Dust on Steam, it didn't work because of Ubisofts Uplay bullshit. Steam nor Ubisoft would accept a refund so he just pirated the game, got in using the same Uplay credentials, and played the game perfectly fine. So yes, people definitely do pirate games specifically because the system that Ubisoft uses that is cracked within hours of release anyway. It's a joke, and for them to sit here and say PC gamers are "bitching" about their products not working is the worst.
I find it annoying when people are like "I am not going to buy this Ubisoft game I wanted to buy, because Ubisoft said something I don't like about another game!". Ubisoft is a publisher mostly. If you buy games they release, you support the developers too. Don't let one develop team change your mind about the rest. That said, this decision is kinda dumb.
i would agree...if one of their recent games worth a buy.
Complaining about piracy and blaming pc users? How about admitting your drm is crap and everyone hates it.

Especially singleplayer ones. All I want to do is play the damn thing, I paid $50 and $60, so that should be that. Ubisoft is the absolute worst when it comes to fucking the legit customers. Especially with my ISP and Always on DRM, it's impossible. And Ubisoft would be the kind to say Well get a new ISP! Unfortunately, my ISP holds a monopoly on the county and that's a no can do And Ubisoft isn't one for continued support of a title much longer after it's released, either. One example is a sound loop bug that happens to everyone online who isn't the host in the first Rainbow Six Vegas game, that they never patched, made its way into the second Vegas title, and they have still not patched it. In my eyes, Ubisoft has taken the throne away from EA for worst gaming company, now. At least EA Tried to do good.. for 6 months, last year
Why can't you just put vuvuzelas in there and call it a day? [sp]if you get the reference good for you[/sp]
I remember a bad case of DRM for me. A really recent one. I had just bought Dead Rising 2 on steam, and was ready to have some fun, but my old computer was to shit to handle the game. "No problems!" Said I, "I'll just get a new computer." And I did But then, it refused my CD code. Since i had already used it on the old laptop. Same account, different computer. I could not play Co-op with my friend. An honest buyer locked out of the games content because of terrible DRM. And I don't blame the pirates. I blame the companies for throwing hissy-fits over the money they lose, paradoxically, from their terrible DRM systems. So now I own Dead rising 2: Single Player edition.

And this is why I use linux distros This right here
Shut your fucking whore mouth, Piracy is so prevalent because you charge £69.99 for a game that is often weighed down with shitty DRM/terribly ported. The last few good games you made were widely pirated, Why? Because of FUCKING PRICES. Oh and on the subject of "no piracy on consoles." You're abso-fucking-loutely wrong, There's tons of piracy on consoles, It's actually about as hard to do as piracy on PC. So shut your fucking gob. If you made actually GOOD games maybe people wouldn't pirate it as much. BESIDES. YOU DON'T EVEN LOSE MONEY FROM PIRACY, PEOPLE WHO PIRATE THE GAME AND NEVER BUY IT WERE LIKELY NEVER GONNA BUY THE GAME ANYWAY YOU FUCKING TWATS.
TL;DR: UBISOFT STOP BITCHING ABOUT FANS BITCHING YOU HYPOCRITES

And this is why I use linux distros This right here
Because you hate gaming? Also it says you use XP
Because you hate gaming? Also it says you use XP
[sp]It's slang for piracy yo[/sp]
Well maybe people wouldn't pirate it as much if the legit versions wouldn't be plagued with bullshit that doesn't affect pirated copies?
Because you hate gaming? Also it says you use XP
But But I thought that using outdated OS's made me a cool kid Like all the other people who have the cherry mx rosewoods and the nvidia gtx's Oh Oh Stop rating me dumbs just because I don't know how to use tags doesn't mean i'm worse than the other guy bawwww Oh
Now we just need a good solid way to pirate console games. Ubisoft will go bankrupt due to it's own refusal to develop games and that will totally be the pirates fault won't it? :v:
already exists
Maybe Ubisoft should spend less money making a DRM that punishes users and gets cracked in a day and should focus on making games PC gamers would actually like to buy. If piracy is that bad, then why are companies like Valve making a shitton of money?
Guy doesn't speak English as his native tongue Source Also he's absolutely right, go on /v/ as a example, "Pirating now pirating now!! We can get it for free so why pay? Lol buying games 2011." Rayman Origins being another Ubisoft specific example "No PC port? Lol they expect people to buy it when they made it freeware playing it on the Dolphin lol!" etc. Yeah it exists on consoles, not denying that, but it's a lot more of a hassle and a lot more to lose for pirating on a console so, welp.
Stop bitching about piracy, ubisoft, and maybe make a game that people will want to buy. Follow that with not including your disgusting drms and maybe people wont pirate your shit. From my point of view, most ubi published games aren't even worth pirating.
Ubisoft just hurt my feelings
Also Ubisoft didn't say it, they're a publisher. A Dev said it
You do know that the developer is Ubisoft right? Ubisoft Shanghai to be exact.
Yeah. And it still wasn't Ubisoft themselves that said this. It was the developer who works for them (read: the guy who doesn't manage PR and announcements), therefore his opinion means shit.
i call backtracking on that "clarification" also, if piracy is so prevalent, how come the humble indie bundles turned a large profit when there was nothing stopping us from just uploading the games to mediafire and sharing them?
I've seen threads asking for shares :v: Also a huge difference between spending a single penny, and 20-50 bucks for a game.
i call backtracking on that "clarification" also, if piracy is so prevalent, how come the humble indie bundles turned a large profit when there was nothing stopping us from just uploading the games to mediafire and sharing them?
Some generous souls donate enough to offset the massive amounts of money spent on "pirated" downloads of the Humble Indie Bundle. Some people are assholes and link directly to their servers for the download, just sharing their key with mates rather than uploading it, which does actually have an impact on their profits. The ones uploaded to Mediafire have no downside other than a possibly lost sale. But some people do buy the games after getting them for free from a friend to show support.
