Ubisoft tells gamers to stop ‘bitching’ about lack of I Am Alive for PC

And this is how once respected and beloved game developers company dug themselves a six feet deep hole.
who cares they make shit games anyway
Except for AC series I agree.
The proof stacked up against Ubisofts claim here is truly staggering. Battlefield 3 came out as a principally PC-developed game, has special features for PC gamers, and even if they didn't go all the way it's still considered the "definitive" version of the game.
What does the publish, Electronic Arts, get out of that? It being the #1 most pre-ordered game in company history.
That's just one example. CoD, The Elder Scrolls Series and Fallout from Bethesda, Bioware RPG's. It's like Ubisoft hates making money. If you make a good PC game people will buy it. Sure there will be pirates but your game will still be hugely successful.
Glad I decided to stop buying Ubisoft games after the From Dust bullshit. That's three companies I won't buy from now. Activision, EA, and Ubisoft. If they want my money, they'll have to stop acting like idiots.
Still amazed people are blaming Ubisoft for this, when they're just publishing the game, the guys not even part of ubisoft.
Too bad piracy is on consoles as well.
Too bad piracy is on consoles as well.
Piracy is much less common on consoles than PCs.
Piracy is much less common on consoles than PCs.
Only because you need to mod the systems
Piracy is much less common on consoles than PCs.
ehh...no, console modding is rampant, it's so common you can't even believe. It's only the PS3 that broke that cycle. Everything else has been dick slapped by pirates.
I also grew up on that shit, 3$ games all day erry day.
When the alternative is 80$ games then you have to

Also he's absolutely right, go on /v/ as a example, "Pirating now pirating now!! We can get it for free so why pay? Lol buying games 2011."
Rayman Origins being another Ubisoft specific example "No PC port? Lol they expect people to buy it when they made it freeware playing it on the Dolphin lol!" etc.
Yeah it exists on consoles, not denying that, but it's a lot more of a hassle and a lot more to lose for pirating on a console so, welp.
Yea well /v/ is all thats bad for gaming put into internet form so I wouldn't really use them as an example. Most pc gamers aren't as bad as /v/.
Also Ubisoft didn't say it, they're a publisher. A Dev said it
They are also a develop some games as well.
Wow, losing money from piracy is essentially impossible if you only distribute it digitally. If they're still so fucking afraid of piracy in 2011 how did they not think of the obvious choice of not spending money on packaging and crap and just putting it on steam. Then you don't lose any money at all, even if lots of people do pirate it.
Wowowowoowowoowow I hate how stupid publishers are getting.
Speaking to IncGamers, creative director Stanislas Mettra stated that there are currently no plans to bring the game to PC because of fears that only Pirates will steal the game, and the last thing he wants to hear is any of your incessant ‘bitching’ over the issue.
Sensationalist headlines!
It wasn't Ubisoft that said this. That would be a PR disaster. It was the developer of the game. After all these years, how have some of you not realized the distinction between publisher and developer?
Quoted because people can't fucking read.

All still Ubisoft.
If one branch of your company does something, it affects the company as a whole.

All hail the reason this forum exists.
i feel as though we should make an effort to pirate and distribute as many copies of the game for consoles as possible... out of spite
