change the signs
shrimps for small and offshore drilling platforms for XL
Over here fat people would just say something like "that isn't nice, but like i give a shit"
I will never understand why fat people are so sensitive.
Not all of us are. Shit, I make fun of myself. Some people are just whiny.
fat people who know they're fat because of their fucked up health choices and don't do anything about it and complain that the world doesn't fit their needs should be the major demographic of the next holocaust if it ever happens
their concentration camp would be this

You know a lot of fat people actually can't help being fat?
It's entirely their choice if they can help it, too. The only extra resources being spent on them are their own.
Whoever made that sign should be fired for not checking their thin-privilege
Replace the whale sign with aircraft carrier then
Most people that are fat are so because modern society allows for easy access to lots of (shitty) food and people are so bored they just eat to get through their spare time.
Except in some extreme cases where it's actually a mental disorder, people tend to be fat because they can and they lack the discipline to not eat like pigs.
I tend to eat a lot of junk food and yet I am almost on the other side of the unhealthy scale (I barely even go over 110 pounds) because I walk all the time and do basic exercise by simply not standing still and eating as much as I can.
Not to mention despite being almost at unhealthy levels of skinny I can still do more stuff than people who are at unhealthy levels of fat.

I should have used the term "some"
I have no problem with overweight people, only whiners.
I'm pretty chunky, I make fun of myself all the time because I know I'm too damn lazy to do anything about it (which also keeps me from whining over it), why do people get upset over such a thing?
Sure I can see how it can be a tiny bit unnerving if you're already trying to lose weight, but complaining that much that you get it taken down?
I don't understand.
Not entirely related to the article, I also don't understand how people can complain about being fat if they're not even gonna ATTEMPT losing weight. I just imagine a gigantic pile of fat and flesh sitting on a bed crying over their fatness while stuffing their face full of 5 triple whoppers or whatever
What a whale load of blubbershit. If your huge and match the dipiction of a baby whale then you should not complain about it, do something about it reduce your size. There is a town near me where there are so many huge obese women mostly, it's disgusting.
plus sized clothing
plus sized marine animals
I don't get what the big deal is

People are fat for two reasons: because it's cheap and fast. Healthier food requires time and money, which lower class people have little of either.
I will never understand why fat people are so sensitive.
I'm fat and I don't give a shit about it :v:
Not massive, but not average weight. It stupid to let that shit get to you, but it at least serves a purpose. If want people to stop making fun of you for it, get up off your ass and change it. They shouldn't have to change shit because it makes fat people feel bad for their own poor decisions.
I've tried to lose weight and made progress only to give up on it (I have reasons to give up on it though, not an excuse, but reasons). Just hoping I can one day have the discipline to see it through.
If we remove all these things that rustle their jimmies they're not going to have any incentive to lose weight. You have to keep the social pressure on.
Ah yes, the "cry yourself thin" workout
Guys think about it like this: Imagine if your local shop had a sign with a giant pimple, or some other 'insulting' gamer stereotype on it to show where the video game section is. You'd probably feel the same way (or similar) as this fat woman.

I'd just be offended at how nonsensical that joke is.

Well of course but that's a very small minority. Compare the obesity rates of developed Asian countries with America. Its not genes, poor diet plays a role.
One complaint in 20 years and all fat people sensitive now?
Have you ever stepped out of your opinion-sphere and been in the real world? Ever?

edit:
seriously some of your views of social and cultural norms are objectively questionable
I hope I'm not the only one that thought it was inappropriate for them to put a sign up like that.
1 complaint after 20 years and he takes it down? Stick to your guns, man.
I will never understand why fat people are so sensitive.
I didn't realize not appreciating being openly demeaned meant you were being sensitive.
Don't cry when I call you a pimple-faced virgin nerd, you're probably just being sensitive.
But seeing massively overweight people like this, this, this, this, and this who say "I can't help it, it's genetic" completely enrages me.

That's not fat.

To be fair, he's right. Recently a person died on a six flags coaster because she was too big to have the restraints fit around her properly and she fell out of it to her death. Now they're planning on implementing a possible weight limit on certain rides, and overweight people are offended by this.
That's not the same as being called a fatass. That's being offended that your life choice is not the best.
needs more malcolm tucker up in this bitch

I wonder if you two orca-straighted this.
[editline]29th July 2013[/editline]
Honestly, I'm kinda overweight myself, but I wish society would stop beaching about this non-sense.
[editline]29th July 2013[/editline]
Although, I guess these sorta of places have to do a Baleensing act between what is politically correct and all.
[editline]29th July 2013[/editline]
Maybe I'll stop making whale puns... Moby.
I know fat people are apparently gross and unhealthy but I'd sure as fuck rather enjoy eating than starve myself to please a bunch of kids on an internet forum
I'm lucky enough to have a good metabolism and a fairly active lifestyle but for someone who's missing one or both of those things I imagine it would be incredibly difficult and incredibly frustrating to try losing weight.
Maybe if these people tried loosing some weight they could ditch their humpback.
