Simply because the screening happens to single out a certain demographic based on a number of things INCLUDING race, doesn't mean that it itself is racist or incorrect, it's simply necessary. Racial traits are a huge visual indentifier and to just not make use of such information because it may offend a particular race would be nonsensical seeing as how lives could be on the line.

There is no to tell if someone is a terrorist/suspect by looking at their physical characteristics. How the hell do you think a suicide bombers kill so many people? I don't see why people are so touchy on the subject. If it's okay to identify potential terrorists by gender and age, then why is it not okay to also identify them by race?
