Anime used to be the old MLP and people think it's still cool to act disgusted at even the thought of it.
I never really got this, can someone please explain it to me?

Because something is popular, it's cool to be "unique" and dislike it.
reminds me of something a friend told me happened at school.
Teacher connected the laptop to the projecter, started it up, and bam, lesbian porn on the giant screen

Ok, you know how much in general this forum hates MLP?
They used to hate furries and before that, anime.

I was asking why
Isn't YouTube a thing? Can't you just, you know, YouTube 80's music?
School filters.
Bad parent for putting the porn on there
Bad teacher for playing videos and not even checking if they are child safe

mob mentality
I was asking why
at this point it's more of a why not situation
Something similar happened back at elementary in my very class. Some higher grader swapped the VCR the teacher had ready for us with some musical horseshit for hardcore porn, but she couldn't have possibly avoided it, he just swapped the cassettes as it laid on her table during the recess.
Ah THAT'S where my missing usb stick went!
I thought I was the only one who listened to duran duran.
if "video to classroom" wasn't in the title, it would have been a lot worse.
I keep looking it as if it wasn't Like I misread it and thought "JESUS! this is a lot worse than I thought!"
I can't see how it's justifiable to not check it at all just because it's from a trusted source.
I mean, you'd still need to check how long it is (to adapt it to your class), a 5 second glance to see if it was a concert or still images, if it's not corrupted (the file :v: )...
I don't know about teacher's schedules okay, but surely they can get 5 minutes in front of a computer during their day to do their things?
"accidentally"
I always knew Duran Duran was shit
I think it's a bit unfair to blame one party entirely here, which a lot of posts seem to be doing here. Both sides could've prevented this and it's not really the fault of just one person here.

You couldn't get a fruitier group.
A few years back at my high school there was an incredibly clueless and lazy German language teacher. Kids would mess with her all the time, and once she decided to play a German movie. Before she put it in some kid swapped it out with a porno and she didn't notice until they were about 15 minutes into it. Eventually she had a breakdown and moved out to California with family. Being the only German teacher the class is only just now becoming available again next year.

I'm going to laugh if she filmed herself.
