Citing your mother? Do you have any comprehension of what a scientific study is? Seeing what people in hospitals go through? What kind of evidence is that, that's just counting the hits and not counting the misses, obviously if they are in the hospital then somethings wrong. Both support the medical use of marijuana, and both have seen patients with marked improvements after starting the use of [illicit] marijuana. Take the 80-year-old chemo patient who, complaining of a lack of appetite, started smoking marijuana. He says he's happier than ever, eating again, and just having a higher quality of life overall.
