it does.
both affect brain physiology by re-routing reward pathways to include the affected areas of the brain
Neither video games nor weed cause a physical dependence. Psychological, maybe, but that goes with anything.
Oh I'm sorry that I forgot about how weed causes physical addiction. Oh wait it doesn't.
If it doesn't cause an addiction, then why are there regular smokers?
If they are high then that means that they made the decision to stay home while sober.
Or it means that the drug stayed in their system. Because, you know, it does that. It's not like fifteen minutes later you go to the bathroom and it's all flushed out.
But if you have that attitude, mixed with the decision-impairment of marijuana, you would probably end up with people skipping out on work anyway, before realizing that they need to money to buy more.
Marijuana doesn't impair judgment, it impairs motor processes and clarity
alcohol is a judgment inhibitor
If it doesn't cause an addiction, then why are there regular smokers?
Do you drink soda regularly?
Yes? Guess that means you're addicted.

Please make a distinction between physical and psychological dependence. Further more, anything enjoyable can lead to a psychological dependence.
We know the exact effects of THC, please stop acting like THC affects people after week of not taking it (Endwor or whatever said it was 6 weeks for extremely heavy users.)
Neither video games nor weed cause a physical dependence. Psychological, maybe, but that goes with anything.
do you know what physiological dependence is at all
like really
if you did you wouldn't be arguing that
physiology is your body chemistry, physiological dependence causes physical dependence and vice versa. The symptoms of weed dependence may be jack shit, but addiction is most certainly very real. Physical addiction is fucking easy to get over. Psychological is not.

don't say that it'll ruin his "talking points"
Why are there regular gamers?
My god, it's like talking to a pack of monkeys. Fine. You win. Happy? You're as stubborn as I am, refuse to listen to any argument but the ones that support your side, and try to throw whatever I say back at me as if you're clever. But I'm not going to fight a lost cause. I can only hope that this ridiculous possibility doesn't come to fruition. Enjoy your lives. I hope you don't regret them.

I think you're missing the point here.
You assumed a regular smoker is addicted because they do it regularly, I disagreed.
And then you ad hominem'ed me to the stone-age.

Listen bro, it's not our fault that your arguments suck. If you can't make a coherent scientific argument for your point, maybe you should consider that you're wrong.

Yeah, when I decided to care about your anime desktops.
:v:
Related, Cael really reminds me of these girls I know. They are exactly like him in his silly ban all drugs ideals and self righteousness, it's quite sad.

You mean like really self-righteous? I know a few people (mostly hardcore Christians) like that.

Yes. They absolutely LOVE Death-Note and think that what Light was doing by killing people with it and such was a good thing. They were quite unhappy with the ending in that [sp]Light dies in the end.[/sp]

:v: Basic premise was that this one self-righteous guy got a book that he could kill anyone he wanted with by writing their name. Proceeded to sentence every criminal to death.
You edited it

That sounds somewhat interesting, in fact.
You guys are going of on a crazy philosophical tangent.
The bottom line is that
Illegal weed funds massive criminal empires in South America, as well as home
Taxing weed is a huge revenue boost to the economy
Weed is less dangerous than alcohol and cigarettes
Banning it has not stopped mass use of the drug
Prisons are filling with repeat offenders, costing tax payer money
This alone should be reason to legalize it. Tobacco is much worse for you than Weed, yet it's extremely widespread. It makes no sense,
Also, all of the arguments I've heard about the negative effects of weed in this thread have all been showcasing the temporary side-effects. Lack of motivation caused by weed lasts no more than a day after smoking it, so I don't see how that may cause mass problems in society.
Again, whoever said weed causes cancer is a dumbass. My friend was diagnosed with leukemia about a year ago, and medical marijuana use had no negative effects on it, her cancer is now in remission too.
I can't believe how many people are still balls-out against weed for reasons made by extremely biased sources to serve the same purpouse. Try looking at it from both sides of the conversation. I don't smoke weed, but I don't think it's bad for you to any major extent.
Some of the arguments remind me of how I'd blindly defend my side of the argument...when I was 10.
EDIT: Also, that Death Note series sounds good, at least from the terms of the premise. Is it worth looking into? I'm not a big fan of anime, but I don't avoid it either.
ITT Mr. Ordbert trolls as usual.
Woah people why you have to take my post so seriously like you get angry at them?

I heard this argument so much, It makes me wanna OD with pot
I heard this argument so much, It makes me wanna OD with pot
Which argument? The argument that people should view an argument from both sides before blindly defending one side? Of course there should be preferences to one side or the other, but blind defence is just stupid.
Yeah, that's horrible, it's a lame plan.
I heard this argument so much, It makes me wanna OD with pot
Good luck with that

You'll most likely suffocate first.
