Pot has the same effect. All drugs have no matter of addiction(meth is another story) ,but they leave to negative effects from users which are not stable to take them.
Please don't talk out of your ass.
I thought it was only for medical reasons.
Then again, just yesterday my doctor sucked a huge ball of wax out of my ears.

Currently pot is legal for medical reasons in California, this vote is for recreational use.
I doubt it'll pass, whether it'll help our economy greatly or not.
I hope it does...
I hope it doesn't pass, if it does I'm getting the hell out of this state.

Notice where cannabis is and where alcohol and tobacco are also.

If it's legalized there's going to be an age limit.
age limits don't work
age limits don't work
So? It'd be no different than it is now.

Except that the government makes money
Pressure from the United States is probably a massive problem as well since they're butt buddies.
The Conservative Party Of Canada is the US's butt buddy, not me...
Kickass, hopefully other states will follow.
Also, I would love to hear some opinions on why is shouldn't be legalised. It will stimulate the economy heavily, I don't see what the problem is.
The only people who should be against the legalization of those drugs are the drug dealers.
With the legalization of currently illegal drugs, you can tax them and use the tax money to help the country get out of debt. You could then help people who are addicted to those drugs easier because they would no longer be considered criminals.
Marijuana was legalized in Denmark and within a year or so the number of people who smoked marijuana fell. It's similar to how a higher percentage of teenagers in America drink alcohol than in countries where the drinking age is lower/non-existent.

you should've moved a long time ago. the dumbasses there don't even believe in the second amendment.
God, I'm gonna fucking hate whoever goes against this.
I wish that so many people in the US weren't so uneducated and blind when it comes to the facts of marijuana.
It's probably going to become commercialized, new brand names are going to pop up.
Which isn't that bad unless they try to sell you some bad shit.

I remember back in Highscool, at the end of our school year, we had to watch a couple do a documentary on drugs. I remember saying that they will fuck you up, you can get diseases, die, commit homicide and what not.
Ever since, I have hated drugs.
Until I tried cannabis & read about drugs on erowid. No propoganda lies and bullshit. Just facts.
The government should just make everything legal. Even harmful drugs like coke and heroine. And just make the tax high (lol pun) so the junkies might reconsider their habits.
awesome i live in california
It's about damn time.
Unfortunately, we probably have quite some time to go before Illinois even begins to consider something like this.
Fucking Illinois.
Why wouldn't it?
People are gonna get high and forget to vote. :v:

Our state is the worst one in the union.
At least California has a reason for budget deficits and all it's problems.
It's about time. I can't wait to see why people are against this. It'll be hilarious.
cigarette smoke smells terrible
pot smoke smells wonderful
a much needed change for many cities in california
This will cause a massive economic boom for California.
This is going nowhere.
Wish I could be more optimistic.
What if nothing happens?
Sellin' weed at 7-11.
