Science isn't skepticism, so pretty easily you dickhead.
oh yes, i forgot science was a system of just believing shit without repeatedly testing it for verifiability that's how we made computers, we took silicon and jizzed over it with a soldering gun
Guys, Christianity made a serious impact on American culture and children should know about it as a part of American culture. He is right.
What he is suggesting isn't the teaching of Christianities influence, he is insisting we teach that we are a nation solely for Christians. He wants to demean the roles of the millions of Jews, Muslims, and Nontheists who contributed to it's founding. Basically he's an immense douchebag with no understanding of American History and a desire to preach American Exceptionalism.

Listen to him, for he speaks the truth.
Schools shouldn't be forced to teach that we are a Christian nation. Because we aren't. America is not composed of solely Chrisitians. America is composed of people who have different beliefs or no beliefs. America is not exceptional and we are no longer unique. But we can be leaders and set the tone on the global stage. We won't be leaders though, if we have backwards, arrogant mindsets such as "HURR DURR, my god is write nd urs is wrong. IMPOSE! IMPOSE! IMPOSE!"
America is composed of bigots of many different points of views.
The creator the founding fathers was talking about was Odin
here's the thing though the founding father's said CREATOR not GOD therefore im assuming they took into account the many different beliefs of the people and accepted that different beliefs make up a nation. funny how something understood a long time ago can't be understood by some retarded people of the same proffesion today.
Actually, they were deists, which was the closest thing to Atheism that was still socially acceptable at the time.
Hey, to be fair, at least a few antifederalists were hardcore christian nutbags, and they, uh...did some things of note. Like...write some letters.
It's because a lot of them were deists, the closest thing to atheism that was socially acceptable at the time
Holy shit did I seriously almost post, word for word, a post that someone else made previously? I honestly didn't see your post Communist Cake, this is strange
My creator is my mom. Because my dad blew a load in her.
That is a horrible horrible thought. Protect the children from the nonsense.
Sometimes I consider taking a year out of my life just to travel the US and go to the speaches of every single one of these people, and questioning their "facts", sources and ideals repeatedly, until they realize that they have nothing to back up their claims or ideas. I think that's one of the main problem with US politics. Intelligent members of society never get to question politicians. That and the fact the president doesn't have the power to do the job he was elected to.
Jesus Christ in Heaven, can everyone please catch up with the 21st century now? Goddamnit all to Hell.
The creator the founding fathers was talking about was Odin
God damn it Zeke, you REALLY need to do standup one of these days.
can all old people just die already
No way man, my grandmother may be old, but she bought me a 32" flat-screen TV last week totally out of the blue, I don't want her to die yet :smith:

Wow...Freedom of religion much? I'm Gnostic/A little wiccan beliefs too.
how deluded do you have to be to admit that you are gnostic
"Founding fathers" That was hundreds of years ago, what should that have to do with anything now?
This a hundred times over. Even if the founding fathers straight up said "this is a Christian nation, keep it that way" (which they didn't), why the hell should that make a difference today?
The creator the founding fathers was talking about was Odin
The old Northern Belief (what's it called in ennglish?) had, in my eyes, the best afterlife: Use swords to cut off eachothers arms and legs for fun, afterwards go eat from a pig that regenerates and drink all the mead you can, and then you go have sex with some sexy ladies (You might prefer the dude by the rainbow bridge, though). At the same time, you really do not need to do anything else than sacrifice a pig once in a while to get there. It's pretty awesome.
how deluded do you have to be to admit that you are gnostic
Very much I guess?
I agree. I can't stomach a single one of the people the GOP is offering. Whether it be Gingrich, Romney, Trump, etc...all a bunch of old losers. I'd vote for Paul Ryan in a heartbeat. He seems genuinely concerned about the budget crisis.
And making it worse [editline]19th April 2011[/editline]
I bet Newt was one of those kids that lurk in the school libraries every day at lunch.
As a kid who lurked in the school libraries every day at lunch, I can say he was the kid who didn't lurk in the school libraries every day at lunch, but instead ate glue.
can all old people just die already
Really, I can't wait for the ridiculous curve of public opinion to happen in the next 20 years.
Wow...Freedom of religion much? I'm Gnostic/A little wiccan beliefs too.
So you believe in Witches and burning leaves and shit? lol
Something I've learned: There will never be a universal truth manifested by man if such a god exists. Christianity will soon die out, new ones will take it's place. Either way, we're eons away from ending the deistic trend. Now, if Christianity actually lasts for another few millenia, sure, people might have something to back it. Otherwise, I think I'll stick to "if there is a god, he most certainly is more rational than religion likes to make him seem"
I agree. I can't stomach a single one of the people the GOP is offering. Whether it be Gingrich, Romney, Trump, etc...all a bunch of old losers. It doesn't take a genius to realize that cutting your revenue raises deficit.
The creator the founding fathers was talking about was Odin
Wouldn't it be awesome if we could start a church that worships thor?
At this point really, I don't give a fuck what religious nutjobs say, we as people can see the stupidity in a majority and it just won't hold its on on a real level.
This man uses Kaiser Wilhelm II as his avatar. Listen to him, for he speaks the truth.
I have a giant gold eagle on my hat. It seems to give a good deal of credibility to what I say.
