stop, please. its only ~1% of them that are extremists. Unfortunatly much of the muslim population lives in an area with political problems which in turn causes social problems
And that 1% has a huge fucking representation of Muslims as a whole due to the attention their antics draws in. This is why people hate them.
If anything I'd say 7/7 two, not necessarily 9/11 two. 9/11 two would be something along the lines of "Eiffel Tower collapses".
Not even that would come close; Eiffel Tower isn't exactly a World Trade Center. 9/11 was just surreal.
Then, we as a species should just cease to exist, really.
Thinking like this isn't really the best time or at all really. Humans have different ideas. Just because a small group has done this doesn't mean we humans should stop existing.
So what, this gonna be 9/11 two or something?
More like the 'Friday the 13th Massacre.'
Death toll now officially at 140+, making it the largest terrorist attack on french soil in history.
Really tragic if true but I'm not surprised. It was a long time between reports of them executing people one-by-one and the building being stormed.
Why the fuck didn't they intervene sooner?
Is that retaliation? They're refugees, not fucking ISIS, they're fleeing from them. What kind of dumbasses would do this?
This is how human beings are. Welcome to Earth.
stop, please. its only ~1% of them that are extremists. Unfortunatly much of the muslim population lives in an area with political problems which in turn causes social problems
I'm not suggesting that it's all Muslims. Do I really need to append extremists to it? And France has political problems? Yeah, it's called extremist Muslims.
BBC stream go down for anyone else?
People advocating for genocide of Muslims are pretty much the reason why many Muslims decide to become extremists. It's a recruiting strategy that feeds off the feeling of being alienated and hated simply because of your beliefs and so many people are advocating violent solutions by killing or hurting any Muslim that many feel that you have to fight fire with fire It's an angry, caveman response to an angry, caveman attitude and if everyone just stop to take a breath and remember that other people are still fucking people none of this would be happening.
I'm afraid the few rational voices will be drowned out by the many ignorant voices screaming for blood. I'm afraid how this might fuel the UK's own extremist nationalist types and create even more problems in the near future. Edit: Called it. Fucking called it already. jesus christ 100 dead
Map of the attacks Omg 100 death in Bataclan Man.. Come on Fuck off.
Fucking saddened and disgusted by the situation in Paris, the people responsible for this don't deserve the air they breathe. My sadness was added to by seeing posts blaming this on 'the refugees'... for fuck sake ... If you're reading this and insistent on blaming, for the most part, innocents who have experienced the terror similar to what Paris is going through tonight then do us a favour and remove yourself. Terrorism HAS to stop, but not at the persecution of already oppressed cultures and races. ‪#‎PrayForParis‬
100 killed at bataclan theater
So what, this gonna be 9/11 two or something?
Not comparable in the slightest. 9/11 involved 2,996 people and two of the tallest buildings in the world (at the time).
Why the fuck didn't they intervene sooner?
I'd say it's better to have an organized assault with several fallbacks and contingencies than to rush a plan together and blunder in. Honestly, it's a miracle that everyone inside isn't dead.
Why the fuck didn't they intervene sooner?
Quite sure they did it as soon as possible...
BBC stream go down for anyone else?
Yeah the stream is down for now.
Not even that would come close; Eiffel Tower isn't exactly a World Trade Center. 9/11 was just surreal.
Yeh, just kinda forgot how huge it actually was since its been so long now.
This is how human beings are. Welcome to Earth.
No, this is how fucking cunts are. I'm sick of people chalking up a few bastards' atrocities as being representative of humanity in its entirety. You don't do that with Muslims and terrorism, why would you conflate all of the world's population into this?
Bull fucking shit. People advocating for muslims to be wiped out aren't actually doing it. It's only the Muslims that are killing people.
People advocating for muslims to be wiped out are the ones voting in governments who kill innocents in drone strikes, and the ones who then say it'd be better if they all just fucking died. If you're a muslim who has emigrated somewhere and has to watch his family be cut off at every time by angry people who hate them because they're Muslim, which is by all measures very unfair, then something would probably snap. Don't be so naive as to pretend that all of this happens without some input from people who hate Islam and from the West in general, because if you actually think this has all happened in a vacuum and all Muslims are awful then you're just ignorant and nothing more
HOLY FUCKING SHIT omfg
There is a lot of factors driving these terrorists. 1. The material conditions of where they are from - they're not great, let's be honest. These are developing countries they're from, they don't have much to lose or much to hold onto. There is so much conflict in these regions. 2. Their family and friends have probably been killed in indiscriminate drone strikes and the actions of other groups involved in various conflicts in the Middle East. Anger drives the terrorist at this point, and he seeks a way to strike back at those who harmed his loved ones. 3. There are crazy Islamic groups, such as ISIS who are clear in their opposition to the West and clear in their determination to attack the West - for the terrorist who is already a Muslim, ISIS provides an outlet for him to channel his rage, because he already believes in most of what ISIS believes in anyway.
My next prediction is far right parties will use this to gain sweeping victories, saying how the left has failed the people. All progress for minorities will be lost. If responsible immigration policies were not seen as racist, this wouldnt have happened these extreme rightists will say. The next in line will be minorities.
2. They should be angry at ISIS (no shit) and the politicians that poorly managed the immigration and national security.
If anything I'd say 7/7 two, not necessarily 9/11 two. 9/11 two would be something along the lines of "Eiffel Tower collapses".
Seeing everything with the migrant crisis and ISIS, this might be 9/11 two in terms of politics. I really hope politicians aren't going to do some stupid shit, my parents are already blaming the migrants.

I'm afraid how this might fuel the UK's own extremist nationalist types and create even more problems in the near future.
What other options are there to a retaliation force? Im not talking about extremist nationalistic responce because that is wrong and creates more problems, but a force to re-invade and take the Middle East back. How do you not respond to something like this?

The people are in truth partially responsible for their beliefs. But its the terrorist's fault that people think this way.
Not comparable in the slightest. 9/11 involved 2,996 people and two of the tallest buildings in the world (at the time).
Let's not forget the significance of the towers in relation to world economy.
