Sky News just showed some bodies.
can read more here and here and here, they were live tweeting around the bataclan since things first began
"I heard them say something like 'it's Hollande's fault, your president'"
"Another witness confirms: one of the Bataclan terrorists said 'All of this is your president's fault'"
I can't really tell what the third tweet says.
Is it over?

"David Chazan reports there are acute fears that other gunmen are still at large on the streets of Paris."
David Chazan being a reporter.
Sky News reporter said he is looking and pictures of the aftermath in concert hall.
Or did I understand wrong?

So it was a political motivated attack.
Belgium also close its borders
The French are a strong people. They'll deal with this tragedy as they have tragedies in the past. Stay safe all those in France tonight, tu est mes amis.
"tu est mes amis" is grammatically incorrect. Coincidentally and horribly enough, pronouncing it would sound exactly like "kill my friends".
Just thought you'd like to know before you go repeat that somewhere else.
140 Is the official death toll
Photos of refugee camp fire are old and not pertinent to tonight, ignore them. (Heard from the BBC on the TV behind me)
Already this has brought out the worst in people.
The regional elections (in 2 weeks) may be impacted. No real news about this , but plenty of doubts.
Man, who gives a fuck about this shit right now?
Some people on twitter are obviously "retargeting" this tragedy.
Any number of victims has its "profit-grabbers".

"i was lying down in the pit, the girl next to me is dead. they shot a lot"
something like that
Yeah what I'm saying applies to locals more than anyone. You live in a small, minority local community and you're heaped on by everyone, including the fucking Government, and none of them want you to be there. Hell, you live in Australia. You've seen the way the Abbott Government treated local Muslim communities. Why do you think people turn to extremism? Even considering that, there is no evidence of an ever growing extremist view in local Muslim communities except your own fear and anger trying to justify prejudice.
You must be blind to what is happening in Australia if you're going to pretend that there is not a growing movement of muslim extremists. And pretending that it has to do with Abbott and his stupid "Team Australia" rhetoric is ridiculous. You know, the more time that goes by, the more I think Abbott might've been onto something.
As for France, guess what, you only need a small minority to perpetrate this attack. They're not being marginalised. They're margininalising themselves. They don't want to live in a modern society.
talk that the attack is over? still waiting a few minutes for more confirmation
The attacks have been spaced out as is. Who could ever assume now that they're over?
Belgium also close its borders
Considering their proximity and porousness it only makes sense
France's foreign ministry said airports in the country would remain open and flights and rail services would continue despite co-ordinated attacks across Paris.
"Airports continue to function. Airline flights and train services will be assured," the ministry said in a statement.
Airports are open and flights will continue, for anyone worried about getting in or out of the country.

Apparently the fires in Calais are actually happening and not old or false.
So it was a political motivated attack.
Well they're members of ISIS from what we know so it must be political.
There is a lot of factors driving these terrorists.
1. The material conditions of where they are from - they're not great, let's be honest. These are developing countries they're from, they don't have much to lose or much to hold onto. There is so much conflict in these regions.
2. Their family and friends have probably been killed in indiscriminate drone strikes and the actions of other groups involved in various conflicts in the Middle East. Anger drives the terrorist at this point, and he seeks a way to strike back at those who harmed his loved ones.
3. There are crazy Islamic groups, such as ISIS who are clear in their opposition to the West and clear in their determination to attack the West - for the terrorist who is already a Muslim, ISIS provides an outlet for him to channel his rage, because he already believes in most of what ISIS believes in anyway.
These terrorists are not necessarily from Syria or the middle east or whatever, chances are they were born in France as the Charlie Hebdo perpetrators were. My guess is these people were probably low-lives who found some purpose in Al Qaeda, ISIS and, well, in their faith. They haven't necessarily been personally affected by drone strikes, extreme poverty etc.
But obviously I can't know.
if you really think Abbott was onto something you're beyond hope. Have fun with that
I despise Abbott. I could not stand him as PM, and I still cannot stand him on the backbench.
But beyond hope? Why? Because I don't subscribe to your overly lovey dovey view and justification for people becoming extremists?
