You people in denial about the nature of Islam are only going to enable ISIS to grow in Europe.
Aaaand I'm going to stop reading your posts here. Clearly you are just trying to fearmonger people into justifying racism and xenophobia
Listen up: There are over a billion Muslims in the world. Terrorists are motivated. If all or even a significant portion of Muslims were terrorists - the entire earth would be currently very literally living in a post-nuclear sharia hellhole. But that's not the case, so shut up.
Last time I checked, when a German family moved into the neighborhood we didnt have to close our bars and ban pork from our resturants.
but if there was a large influx of german people coming to live in one neighbourhood, you might accommodate them by selling things that are relevant to their culture even if it's not part of your own, right? so whats the difference
The Turkish region has gone through so much political change in the 1920's, those responsible for the Armenian genocide are far removed from anything done under the Ataturk government. The Turks may have deported most Greeks during the establishment of the republic and invaded northern Cyprus in the 70's but you can't compare that to a mass killing so huge that the term genocide was coined just to describe what happened to the Armenians.
I was mostly just referring to this last act before the fall of the decaying theocratic empire (aka Ottoman Empire) and just after the Young Turk Revolution. I still think Tunisia is the better example you gave, and probably should be followed by neighbors who wish to do the same.
Wow, I don't even. You're implying that just because they are in the Middle East that they are all radicalized muslims. Let me clue you in, they aren't.
like you'd have any fucking clue how many of them are and aren't. You're being just as presumptuous as he is, so don't act like you have the high ground. It pays to be cautious when you have streams of fighting aged men entering your country from areas that are known to be enclaves for more radical strains of Islam.
Hating people who haven't done anything wrong is not a "perfectly normal reaction", sorry.
And thats where you are failing to consider the image that the terrorists represent. Like it or not, their actions will be perceived as representation of Muslims as a whole. Even more so when they claim these actions are just in their religion. The people are not at fault for hating the Muslims. The terrorists are at fault for conditioning people to hate them.
What in the hell? Because I don't support your xenophobic and flat out racist views, all of the sudden I'm supporting the growth of ISIS? Last I checked being tolerant of other moderate religions was the opposite of supporting a terrorist organization centered around a radicalized religion.

Aaaand I'm going to stop reading your posts here. Clearly you are just trying to fearmonger people into justifying racism and xenophobia
It's just dandy when the opposing side can't argue against you and can only resort to calling you racist, when you're not even talking about a race
lmao what the fuck even is this video he's claiming that, using Pakistan as an example here: 76% of muslims in Pakistan want strict sharia law in all countries meaning that Pakistan has 135.4 million radical muslims. fuck off. 76% of polled muslims want strict sharia law. he says nothing about the sample size, you can't just take the percentage from the poll and apply it to all of the muslims in the country
if we can't trust pew research data, then what data can we trust?
like you'd have any fucking clue how many of them are and aren't. You're being just as presumptuous as he is, so don't act like you have the high ground.
like you'd have any fucking clue how many of them are and aren't. You're being just as presumptuous as he is, so don't act like you have the high ground. Older men are much less likely to be extremist than 16-24 year olds. Also you might notice that statistics above show that the countries with the four largest muslim populations all oppose extremism with a huge majority, statistics taken solely from muslims in that country
It's just dandy when the opposing side can't argue against you and can only resort to calling you racist, when you're not even talking about a race
[del]No, they're calling you a racist because your accusations are unfounded.[/del]
No, they're calling you a racist because your accusations are unfounded.
They are founded though. The action of a few people is enough to paint the majority as bad.
No, they're calling you a racist because your accusations are unfounded.
Except they're not. I provided a reputable source (Pew Research)
Listen up: There are over a billion Muslims in the world. Terrorists are motivated. If all or even a significant portion of Muslims were terrorists - the entire earth would be currently very literally living in a post-nuclear sharia hellhole. But that's not the case, so shut up.
I don't think anyone is saying that all radical Muslims are terrorists. But I think it's fair to say that behind every terrorist is a veritable iceberg of support by radical Muslims. Not saying those who support acts of terror are themselves terrorists but they are not doing anything to prevent the acts. The only way to stop these acts is to somehow get the spiritual leaders who lead the people in the direction of radicalization to instead lead their followers away from such actions, condoning them as an issue that all Muslims should be concerned about fixing. The world more than ever has no place for people killing each other over our faiths.
Holy shit there's a lot of delusional motherfuckers in here. Stop painting all Muslims under the same brush.
It's just dandy when the opposing side can't argue against you and can only resort to calling you racist, when you're not even talking about a race
"I'm saying something dumb and unfounded!" "sorry, i don't like to argue with people who are so grounded in their beliefs" "ha ha that means i win, fuckers!"
They are founded though. The action of a few people is enough to paint the majority as bad.
Annnnnnd I'm done. I cannot believe you just posted this.
I'm just so tired of it man... Every fucking year terrorism takes so many innocent lives and I just don't see an end to it. Terrorism feels like some horrible cancer upon mankind that's incurable and self-propagating. Any sort of retaliation that we make just makes things worse and extremism is most likely never going to go away, and if it does, it will take decades upon decades of seeing this kind of thing happen every single year. I just feel so dejected.
They are founded though. The action of a few people is enough to paint the majority as bad.
...What?? "Well if some of the Germans supported Hitler they may as well have all been Nazis."
Because none of those immigrants have the crime rates that muslims do? Because those immigrants are actually culturally similar to the rest of Europe enough to properly assimilate?
Statistically several of those nationalities have higher crime rates.
It's just dandy when the opposing side can't argue against you and can only resort to calling you racist, when you're not even talking about a race
They're just like Ben Affleck.
"I'm saying something dumb and unfounded!" "sorry, i don't like to argue with people who are so grounded in their beliefs" "ha ha that means i win, fuckers!"
Ffs are you serious? This is RIDICULOUS.
Except they're not. I provided a reputable source (Pew Research)
I must've missed them completely then. Was it the video? It seemed kinda dubious to me.
"I'm saying something dumb and unfounded!" "sorry, i don't like to argue with people who are so grounded in their beliefs" "ha ha that means i win, fuckers!"
"Unfounded" my ass
No, they're calling you a racist because your accusations are unfounded.
they are literally the opposite of unfounded if you define "radical" as someone who thinks it's okay to kill women in the name of honor and impose sharia law on others, and if you believe that pew research center is a reliable source, the majority of muslims are radical say what you will, he's the only person here who's actually substantiated their position with actual data.
No, they're calling you a racist because your accusations are unfounded.
But that's not how that word works
I bet these terrorists got into Europe by masquerading as Syrian refugees.
I must've missed them completely then. Was it the video? It seemed kinda dubious to me.
the guy in the video is a smug fuck but being a smug fuck doesn't make your sourced claims wrong
