I don't really understand the overarching plan here. Start a war, and then what? They have significantly lower resources, equipment, and even soldiers available to them.

I sincerely hope France does not act rashly and engage in combat with the daeshbags by sending in ground troops. What should happen however is the air campaign needs to be firmly increased with such an intensity and ferocity that all the little black-robed sons of bitches on the ground are paralyzed from moving. From there the local forces do the actual leg work of removing the blight from their own lands. Essentially the strategy used to clear Kobane needs to be applied across the country and all of NATO needs to make Turkey very, [B]very[/B] fucking aware that they shall not interfere which means giving the YPG a free hand to advance across their area of influence. This is not a solution for the Syrian Civil War, but it is a solution for the so-called Islamic State, as it undermines their entire credibility, militarily crushes them, and enables local forces to claim much-needed victories that serve to discredit the entire institution of global Islamic extremism. In short: don't take the fucking bait, France.
