I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight until I know this attack has been quashed. Somebody said the franch police have already stormed the concert hall, right?
I don't know, there were other cases, like with Mohammed Merah, where the perpetrators themselves were already know.
Don't know if we should chalk it up to the agencies' incompetence or if that's an gamble that turned sour.
We won't know until there's an investigation, so best to just wait
Well no because they pulled out mid way which led to this disaster.
Midway to what? We had no end-game. There were no victory conditions. The only thing that would have come out of staying was a permanent occupation of a foreign nation that continued to cost billions of dollars and pointlessly waste lives.
@prefpolice to all Parisians:

If you are at home, at your family's home or in professional spaces in Île-de-France, please stay indoors unless it is absolutely necessary. Reinforce the surveillance of entrances, and please welcome those who might need it,
Cowardly and backwards savages.
It's like I'm looking into the past here.
We're doomed with people like this as the majority opinion.
Yeah because the laissez faire approach has gone so well
You don't have to commit genocide, we didnt have to commit genocide to destroy nazism and we wouldnt have to commit genocide to destroy isis. you cant make the idea go away but you can take away their power and resouces
You realize it was allied bombings on supplies that led to most holocaust deaths, right? Are you serious?
You can say it's not Muslims but extremism, but it would be foolish to say that the religious AND political climate of the middle east does not breed extremism that feeds off the Islamic religion. Basically, bad people will latch onto religious ideas in order to gain more support for their hateful causes, which gets to a point where they truly believe they are doing good.

The Nazis were a structured military and government. Same with Japan.
There is no emperor to tell these people to stand down. There is no leader that's inspiring these people to action. They're inspired by ideology.
You can't kill ideology.

It wouldn't be permanent, you just have to stay a lot longer than what they did.
Oh and please, wasting lives? You mean like the lives of all the people who've been massacred so far.
I really hope this is going to be over soon. Jesus.
Obama on Paris attacks: "We will bring terrorists to justice."

ISIS is also a structured organisation, it's literally a fucking state. The reason they're able to coordinate so well is because of their state like organisation.
could people not take this as chance to punch down at innocent muslim citizens?
Holy shit, hopefully there aren't too many casualties.

You need something more solid than reasoning, like lead.

Time to invade Syria.

Yeah, and that is what you guys didn't do sufficiently enough before pulling out of Afghanistan and Iraq.
The reason why Germany and Japan never rose in military power again after the Second World War, is because the Allies completely destroyed them and everything they stood for and kept a very tight grip on them for a long while after the war.
That didn't happen at all in Afghanistan and Iraq against the extremists. And look where that got us now.

Dont you use the word savages....dont...not even for one second...
EDIT: Poor Hollande. Just when France is at its worst moment regarding European leadership, this happens.
Sure Le Pen and his freaks will start lynching or speaking out loud against refugees.
Wonderful.
A couple of fanatics just made France implode.
How come the BND and DGSE didn't see this coming? This has to be something in the works for months.

You can use their ideology and religion against them - like Black Jack Pershing did.
Dont you use the word savages....dont...for one second...
It was a savage and cowardly ACT, I wasn't implying anything - but you clearly are. Terrorists attacking innocent people are savages, don't you agree on that?

Extremism is present in every religion unfortunately.
In Christian however instead of killing you they will damn you to eternal hellfire. In my mind I would rather be shot than convert to islam compared to being put in Hell and tortured for eternal time than change to Christianity.
The French president is live: http://www.france3.fr/direct
Holy shit, hopefully there aren't too many casualties.
I'd call anything over 0, let alone 60 "too many" casualties.
What the fuck is wrong with this world.
Currently the french president is making a statement.
Yeah because the laissez faire approach has gone so well
Nobody is suggesting that we just ignore the threat that extremism poses, merely that your particular suggested course of action is not only ineffective, but actively harmful.
French President just declared state of emergency and is closing borders for the next hours
France is closing borders.
Dont you use the word savages....dont...for one second...
Why? That is what those people are, fuck ISIS and any other extremist.
