I don't think anyone wants to punish the kid (except for that one poster above).

Football is already pretty dangerous, allowing one kid to get tackled by another three times his size is pretty reckless.

No it's like saying "don't play in this league where all of your opponents are half your height and weight because you could seriously injure them and we don't want to spend millions in lawsuits."

He could probably play in an older league until the rest of the players catch up to him in size.

This kid isn't obese. Look at the picture. He's more than a little bit overweight, but he's pretty slim for 300 pounds.

No questions asked. If he [I]keeps[/I] growing, he's going to easily be able to be a linebacker. When you're that big, the task of "keep the quarterback safe" has to be second nature.
