I didn't know the Pope reviewed movies. Makes me wonder if they have an IMAX in the Vatican.
Yes, but he's the Pope [editline]10:54PM[/editline] In "purely Darwinian terms" we are doing GREAT. There are 6.6 billion people on earth and the number is growing.
Over population is a bad thing.
Over population is a bad thing.
You could fit the whole of the human population into Sri Lanka. Overpopulation my ass.
Good sir, this is the internet. I would say it is very likely this has already happened.
This is funny cause my teacher said the internet was almighty and all knowing. :D Oh the irony. Makes me wonder if the Vatican are gonna bash him now.
Funny I should see a documentary on Tennessee Williams and then read about the Church getting pissed off about another production from someone equally as successful.
Population growth isn't a good thing in my opinion.
Over production is the first step in natural selection.
You could fit the whole of the human population into Sri Lanka. Overpopulation my ass.
Yeah, if people were Tetris blocks. We couldn't all live in Sri Lanka.
Yes... the Pope is infallible. So I'm not going to see Avatar. Thanks for pointing this out to me OP. And to the people saying 'worshipping nature is wrong'...it is. The Bible teaches that we worship Jesus Christ and the Holy Father. Not 'Pandora' or whatever this satanic blasphemy is.
I agree with them. It's $400,000,000 of CGI with a $4 storyboard and script.

We couldn't all live in Sri Lanka.
Actually, we could each have our own 10'x10' living space on the ground (meaning not built up into high-rises) and we could still all actually fit on Sri Lanka. Of course, you would have to flatten and pave nearly the entire island, but it is possible. Nobody would want to live there, but that isn't the point :eng101:
Population growth isn't a good thing in my opinion.
It's a good thing in evolutionary term. Evolution doesn't care about happyness. It cares about the ability to exist.
15 years is just short of my age, that and $500,000,000 is a masterpiece in my eyes.
