The PDF doesn't load for me at all so I have no idea if it has any information on what hormones it affects and what not but if it at all affects testosterone then the fact people even end up committing suicide because it isn't even surprise.

A single participant committed suicide, and they ruled it unrelated to the testing. Can anyone please cite the multiple suicides that were directly related to this drug?

I just said I have no idea what hormones it affects and if it affects testosterone it wouldn't be surprise if people ends up killing them self after using it because low testosterone levels cause depression and what not.
Would kill for male contraceptive. I take the pill but not only does it have shitty side effects, I can't get access to it reliably. I honest to god can't find a condom that fits my partner's dick :v: tried so many brands too. Wish I could just get my ovaries removed at this point, babbies a shit anyway

This is silly, it was ruled unrelated. Do you have so little respect for drug research that you think nobody would find out that the drug causes suicide?

too easy.
Condoms and abstinence work fine.
Whereas all of these injections, pills and implants mess with your body chemistry, which can have various adverse effects.
Again, why not leave it up to the people to decide what is right for them as long as its an informed decision made with a medical doctor?
To give an example, there are people who love sex with their partner, dont want kids but have a latex allergy... you might say there are different kinds of condoms but they are not as comfortable and beak far more easily.
What makes you think you can make this call better then any doctor can? also why do you think abstinence is a good way to prevent kids? track record of having kids anyway while using abstinence is worse then the pullout method over the course of a year, to put things in perspective....
too easy.
More like too uncomfortable
Reminded me of this awful guardian article
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/oct/30/will-we-believe-a-man-who-says-he-is-on-the-pill
This stupid feminist seems to think the lack of male pill is because of some patriarchal conspiracy, and not because science isn't magic and making a male birth control pill without horrible side effects is extremely difficult.
When I use a condom, sex pretty much becomes just about her, because I feel absolutely nothing.
She probably thinks the same, i feel you man. When a guy sticks it in me with a condom its either lubed up so much that it feels like an eel is being shoved in without friction or im being penetrated by a chalked up rubber glove.

I have no doubt that this is exactly how my girlfriend feels. I would love to have the option to just... not use a condom but still be able to contribute to preventing a pregnancy.

Cause I mean, shit, I'm the kind of guy that even if a girl I'm with is like "lets go dood I got condoms" I'm still like fuck that I brought my own condoms, ain't taking that chance. I want the ability to control my end of the deal, not just "contain" whatever comes out of the reflex controlled unstoppable lever operated sperm-hose that is the male reproductive organ system.
Don't doctors suggest using a condom while on birth control anyway, on the grounds that no one method is foolproof? Would that change if there was also a male option?
just wear a fucking rubber

It's a small pill that I take, much like women have to, and this' got the benefit of helping my anxiety.
The point of a contraceptive isn't to prevent you from reaching an orgasm.

Go jerk off with a latex glove and let me know how it feels.

Yes, hence male pill is needed... even if it ends up being something not as convenient as a simple pill... the option is needed, badly.

how about male and female pill used at the same time?
ahhhh... now you get it.

If the male pill reaches a 98% success rate then it could replace the condom in that scenario, her be on hers, you be on yours.

To add up to that
The things a feminist of that calibre can't handle:
Simple words constructed into phrases that make "burns"
Tbh this is awesome because I'm not sure how well my own body would respond to contraceptives. I'd be all for a male option being available to my partner so that we wouldn't have to fumble around with condoms. But I also hope that research into male contraceptive side effects expands also to female contraceptives to lessen the severity of side effects.
My mother was on the pill which resulted in hypertension and high blood pressure, migraines, hormonal imbalance, and irregular periods and my sister had an IUD and bled constantly for 5 months. Neither of those seem ideal for me considering my body already hates me like 90% of the time. I don't wanna add more shit onto it. So hopefully this'll expand to make contraceptive options safer for everyone.
Also a shot in your ass is not a huge deal. Barely even feel it and you can close your eyes very easily. But a patch would be pretty neat.

If you bleed for 5 months even a trickle you usually need to go to the hospital

She'd been to the doctor multiple times. All normal. She's perfectly healthy and maintains an appropriate diet/water intake. That was just a result of the IUD adjusting to her system.
Honestly until they weed out 100% of the side effects, have the same 99.99% effectiveness rate as female hormonal birth control, have 0% chance of rendering the user sterile, and offer multiple delivery options, I'm not interested in taking it.
I'd like to see some sort of temporary surgical procedure, like how women have the nuva ring and shit, where they make a teeny tiny incision, pop in something that stops sperm from getting out but doesn't stop the semen itself, and then close/cauterize the wound instantly. Give it a few days to heal and bam, non-hormonal male birth control.

Good luck with that, female contraceptive pills have a shitload of side effects still.

i'm not trying to sound douchey but if you're having such an awful experience with condoms you're either using the wrong size, kind, or aren't having sex frequently enough to remember what having sex with a condom is actually like. Granted it feels better without one but the difference isn't THAT extreme.
Good luck with that, female contraceptive pills have a shitload of side effects still.
Except that for the most part they're normal, natural, expected side effects of their periods.
If male contraceptive induced a heavy desire to go camping, hunting, do carpentry, or [del]get in fist-fights[/del] fishing as their symptoms/side effects, it would be expected/natural.
Here's the biggest problem though. Female contraceptive is mostly just fuck tons of estrogen and other naturally produced hormones, right?
You can't do that with men. If you inject a guy with a ton of testosterone he's gonna make MORE sperm. So we're working with other chemicals, which I'd imagine aren't nearly as safe as estrogen to begin with.

I am interested in having sexual intercourse, but I fully understand the consequences of unprotected sex in both the short term and long term.
I'm not going to sacrifice my well-being, both financially and emotionally, just because I want to fuck and nut in a girl without having my dong encased in a thin rubber coating.
why's everybody so squirmy like they're going straight at your balls with a blood drawing needle
like already mentioned, this stuff usually goes into your ass or thigh because there's a lot of meat and you barely feel it. Hell, my wife has a weird little implant in her arm that releases the hormones that act for birth control over a number of years, stuff just needs to be in your system
Nobody is saying have unprotected sex? That's the entire point of a male contraceptive, to have protected sex without the need for a condom. Which part is confusing you?

Its not protected sex. You'd still need to wear a condom in the case of STIs.
[editline]3rd November 2016[/editline]
What the fuck are you all going on about, this doesn't stop STIs.
