• Cloning? Who Cares?

The island. Even though it's a terrible movie, the premise is kind of on topic.
Who cares when it was written? If you don't believe it, that's your own problem.
Except it becomes a problem when believers (ignorant fucknuts) get in the way of us non-believers. [editline]09:52PM[/editline]
God came before the universe.
Since you're talking about god is it fine if I start talking about my invisible friend? Is talking to imaginary people socially acceptable and deemed sane now?
I have a feeling something bad will happen.
Like you secretly clone yourself and it decides to kill and replace you, and no one ever notices?
I remember reading a book about this 400 something year-old man who would clone himself, raise his clones as his children, then kill them for their organs. [sp]Everyone dies at the end. Except the kid.[/sp]
Clones are really like twins. Would you advise a woman to have an abortion because they're twins?
Who cares about Christian views on cloning? Religion needs to stay separate from science.
Did we really need 7 pages? Everything that ever had to do with religion, in this thread, should have ended at this post. Also, I think that clones that are going to be used for organs should be cloned without a brain.
God is one of the 'true' mysteries. Nobody can prove his existence but the opposite side also finds it equally difficult to disprove his existence. For example, we still have no definite conclusion or proof of how the universe was started in the first place. And no, the big bang theory is not concrete evidence of how the universe was formed. It remains a theory and will forever be one as we have no means to travel back in time to witness the acts. Talking about if we travel back in time is a waste of time as we won't have such technology during our lifetimes. You can prove the tooth fairy and santa doesn't exist with a simple camera recording the parent performing the 'magical' act. Unicorns originated from a bible text that means "The allusions to the re'em as a wild, un-tamable animal of great strength and agility, with mighty horn or horns." Somehow this was translated over the years into a horse with a horn on its head. Leprechauns were derived from an old Irish tale. Cloning removes genetic mixing you would normally get in natural reproduction. The result is that you have no ability for those clones to have any chance of an immunity or resistance to a devastating disease. They'd all be equally vulnerable. Plant propagating is like a form of cloning. You're taking a piece of a plant and making an entirely new plant out of it. Something you can't do with animals but can do with plants. However you can't cut off a finger and expect it to grow into a human. You also can't program a plant to become a killing machine or to become a zombified machine.
First off, I'd like to say your post is very well written. However, it is wrong. Do you have any concept of what a theory is and isn't? You can't disprove Santa like that, that's like disproving god because a prayer didn't come true, and where something comes from as a tale has no bearing on whether or not it is true. Please do read up on what a theory is. Here is a helpful link to get you started. http://www.notjustatheory.com/ It's about evolution, but it applies to all theories.
It was thesame with that bullcrap about "The earth is the centerpoint of the galaxy", got proven it wasn't so take that christanity.
Stupid people stem the growth of technology and our world in general.
Because cloning people would never be abused and be a complete fuck over of life.

Saying that is like saying 'i don't believe in gravity.'"
'i don't believe in gravity.'
And I floated out of my chair and flew like peter pan
I really dont see why people are against cloning.
It's against basically every religion out there.
It's against basically every religion out there.
Buddhism as a whole doesn't seem to speak out negatively.
When someone tells me that evolution is just a theory, i always rebut with "Gravity i just a theory, too. It is possible that there is something out there that causes things to be pulled towards each other, but humans just haven't thought of it. The chances of that are very slim, true, but it's possible. This is the same with all "theories" that exist.

We should just find a guy from New Zealand and make a army out of him. This guy looks good http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temuera_Morrison
We've already got 150 cloned animals here where I live last time I heard; I honestly don't give a shit.

clone wars
I want a clone. I promise to feed it and walk it and clean up after it.
When someone tells me that evolution is just a theory, i always rebut with "Gravity i just a theory, too. Saying you don't believe in the Theory of Gravity means you disagree with HOW it works, not that it does. God damn, read some more.
