hard work pays off guys
it's the best one we can probably ever have.
That's just plain ignorant and stupid. It can always be better, the moment it stops getting better is the moment you stop thinking it can.
There is small situations where you get butt-fucked by your own birth and you cannot prevent it, but you need to have even have the poor to be rich.
In-fact, by using whatever computer that you're posting from right now, from that information alone if you work hard enough you'll become a billionare.
If you work hard enough.
Sometimes you just get fucked over though, and I'm sorry to break it to you, but...
Life isn't fair, get fucking used to it.
what hard work does fred do?
Capitalism doesn't work over a long period of time but saying Socialism and Communism doesn't work is ignorant. Socialism has been proven to work quite well and Communism has never been properly implemented before.
Capitalism works quite well, actually. The thing is Capitalism doesn't promise people a Utopia, one of the reasons its pretty successful.
The tax should be the same for everyone, anything else is retarded.
The problem I have with higher taxes isn't that I disagree with taxing some people higher and some less, but that the government as a whole is hilariously bad at using the funds it gets from taxes. Throwing money at the government through taxes won't do anything with how inefficient it is spent.
That really is the only problem I have with socialism, just the fact that nearly all governments are hilariously bad at how it spends the money it takes from you.
That's what my provincial government did. Filed an inquiry into how tax revenue was being spent. Problem was it turned out pretty much every MLA was using some of the money for personal things, and despite being across the board, the governing party were blamed for it and would be out by now if they hadn't snagged a majority house. IF they were 1 or 2 seats off though, they would have been ripped to shreds for trying to do the right thing
Why do people use blogs as sources?
Wall Street Journal *cough*
Capitalism works quite well, actually. The thing is Capitalism doesn't promise people a Utopia, one of the reasons its pretty successful.
I disagree, but that is my opinion. I believe that Capitalism doesn't work well is because it runs on greed, greed to do well in the workplace in order to get a raise, bonus, etc.. Greed causes corruption, the rich get richer while the poor get poorer. I believe that everyone deserves an equal chance.
I don't support it. More than 250,000 might be rich in the south where cost of living is low, but my family lives in orange county where cost of living is high and we make around 300,000 a year and we can barely make it by as is. I don't support this.
[editline]07:23PM[/editline]
and I would consider myself upper middle class not rich

[editline]07:25PM[/editline]
These rich people are asking to be taxed more though.
Well I'm not. I want our taxes as is.
i see you want everyone to earn the same amount of money regardless of contributions or importance. I'm sure there are many countries with a system like this that you could move to.
No. Listen here. I'll take a single man for example. The same applies to other groups, just with slightly different brackets for each different form of filing.
[release]US INCOME TAX BRACKETS
This works by taxing dollars individually. For example, a man that makes $10,000 will have a 10% tax on the first $8,375 and 15% on the rest. All of this is only income tax and before any deductions.
10% $0 – $8,375 $0.00 - $7,537.50 left after taxes
15% $8,376 – $34,000 $7,538.35 - $29,318.75 left after taxes
25% $34,001 – $82,400 $29,319.50 - $65,618.75 left after taxes
28% $82,401 – $171,850 $65,619.47 - $130,022.75 left after taxes
33% $171,851 – $373,650 $130,023.08 - $265,228.75 left after taxes
35% $373,651+ $265,229.10 left after taxes[/release]
So you're saying this is communism and a flat tax rate (which would raise taxes on the poor, who barely scrape by as is, and lower them on the rich, who usually couldn't care less) is the only true solution. You're wrong. Shut up.
[editline]10:29PM[/editline]
I did all of this math myself, FYI.
Rich people really should be taxed more. Socialism isn't that bad at all, anybody who protests it is either a greedy fuck or an idiot stuck in a post-cold-war era.
So does study and education.
Anyone can be a day laborer.
Day laborers work extremely long, hard days though. Hard work does not pay off in Capitalism.
Well I'm not. I want our taxes as is.
Good for you, most other rich people disagree.
Obviously didn't live on the other side of the Iron Curtain did you.
Obviously you don't understand that the shortcoming of life behind the iron curtain were do to bad government structure and authoritarianism and based around corruption and lies, which in turn affects the economy and people badly no matter the economic model employed.
Rich people really should be taxed more. Socialism isn't that bad at all, anybody who protests it is either a greedy fuck or an idiot stuck in a post-cold-war era.
Yeah, I'm greedy because I don't want to have my money stolen and then inefficiently spent on shit I don't want.
Day laborers work extremely long, hard days though. Hard work does not pay off in Capitalism.

The people who make like 1,000,000 are the ones who disagree. They couldn't care less. But people who barely make more than 250,000 will get fucked over.
And a day laborer is not nearly as valuable and important to culture as a political/commerical/actor/etc. figure. Anyone can be a day laborer. Not everyone can be a comedian, etc.
Anyone can be a day laborer.
Bullshit. You go out and work in a mine for 7 hours, hell, why not go by international average and work for 10 or more hours. Do it, seriously, and tell me anyone can be a laborer. Find some fatass and tell them to do it. Pick a random Brit, or Canadian, of Jap, and make them do it- see if they can.
Just because you don't have an education or specified training doesn't mean you can automatically do hard-ass labor.
Ad far as being a comedian or a button pusher, yeah, they're important to society, but their job doesn't require hard physical work, it requires education. I'm not saying they don't make the money they earn- well, honestly, alot of them don't on the higher end of the earning spectrum- but compared to a laborer, they have it extremely easy and well off. Laborers are the back bone of society and deserve more than they make. They work in hazardous environments, doing strenuous physical labor, and generally receive shit for it.
Day laborers work extremely long, hard days though. Hard work does not pay off in Capitalism.

Hard work in education does pay off in capitalism, and is the only thing other than being an entrepreneur that does. However, the problem with these is that becoming involved in either requires starting capital, and as a result, are difficult for the poor to be involved in.
define inefficient
The people who make like 1,000,000 are the ones who disagree. They couldn't care less. But people who barely make more than 250,000 will get fucked over.
The rich don't care about the hardworking middle class because to them, they are just a commodity, their slaves, while they get rich doing very little.

I can do it. Doesn't mean I will. But I am physically able because it requires no skill. People with no skill get the low paying shit laboring jobs that anyone can do.

Exactly. Education also can drive people into huge debts as job security is unstable.
The rich don't care about the hardworking middle class because to them, they are just a commodity, their slaves, while they get rich doing very little.
Bullshit, my dad works 10 hours a day.
Bullshit, my dad works 10 hours a day.
Doing what?
But in Capitalism hard work pays off right? :downs:
No, education and skill pay off.
Obviously you don't understand that the shortcoming of life behind the iron curtain were do to bad government structure and authoritarianism and based around corruption and lies, which in turn affects the economy and people badly no matter the economic model employed.
And the US government would be any different if they were given such power? If the answer was a 100% yes, I would fully support socialism.
Imagine bush if he had all the money in the nation going to him and his administration, with all your hard earned cash from working going to pointless wars and interventions. Giving power to a government generally makes them abuse the hell out of it sadly.
No, education and skill pay off.
Skill gained through education and like I said, education is not cheap and can drive people into debt.
