Not a lot of HUMANS put a lot of stock in "Love thy neighbour as thyself" whether it's what their faith teaches or not because humans are inherently assholes, especially when they fall victim to groupthink.
Christianity is in no way better than Islam, and if you'd believe me there are a shitload more Christian terrorists than Muslim ones, especially in Africa.
You don't focus on the psycho nutjobs, you focus on the people fighting for peace.
only sometimes. it depends on which parts of the scripture you read. and tolerance only extends to "brothers of the book", christians and jews. pagans are often considered fair game for whatever oppression is deemed necessary. this is seen in the sharia-inspired constitution of egypt.
islam is a backwards as fuck religion, it is not a religion of peace or tolerance or holding hands. to be fair, though, christianity and judaism are just as fucked up and stupid. a christian calling out a muslim for their religion is like a fascist trying to call a stalinist out on their political ideology.

and jihad can be both spiritual and military. it depends on who is interpreting the text.
Violent Jihad really just depends on who's doing the interpreting and how much a particular sect glorifies it
and sharia is purely interpreted, If I'm not mistaken.
Read the bible. Christianity is all about crusading and subjugating non-believers. It is very much a crusadatory religion, and I'm going to call you out now for saying you don't approve of even muslim moderates because of what their holy book says. Because the Bible is all kinds of fucked up when you actually get into it. I was raised Catholic, I should know.[/QUOTE
Actually you're wrong in the sense that they were crusading, and the so called "crusading" only happened in the old-testament, crusading is killing if you cannot persuade a person/persons to believe in your belief. They were in the old-testament killing those that were against God and God had not chosen in the land that their God had chosen for them to have. (Say that five times fast, lol.)
And apparently I fucked up the quote boxes somehow.
While that may be, Christianity in itself and Judaism (as far as I know.) are not meant to be crusadatory religions, while Islam states that it is and meant to be. We can talk about old-testament fundamentals, but Christianity is based on the new-testament. I don't think I've seen a Christian or Jewish terrorist but if there are, then there are probably a much greater number less than those that are Islamic.
The Torah and Bible are actually way more fucked up than Koran. The only reason there's so many violent muslim extremists is because many parts of the middle east are still stuck in the dark ages.

It's a damn shame that the Dark ages happened, then, and that Christianity was responsible for some of the most horrific inventions of torture ever created, and that so many people were killed by Christians, and that the Christian crusaders were responsible for Islam's fall. Also that Christianity in those days pushed technology, science and art so far back that humanity actually REGRESSED.
Damn shame that a religion you think is so much better than Islam had to fall so low, eh?
You're biased, Omega. Sorry, but you can't deny the crimes of the Church, and they dwarf any atrocity committed in the name of Islam. You seem to have lived under a misconception, but it's time you do more reading and expose yourself to more perspectives. All Abrahamic religions have had bloody histories, but none so bloody as Christianity.
That's true, but you could also say not many Christians put a lot of stock in "Love thy neighbor as thyself.", whether it's what the religion teaches or not.
That's kind of what I meant by the different sects. Not every Christian subset chooses to interpret the Bible the same way, or emphasize the same teachings. The same goes for Islam.
FWIW most Christians I know put a lot more stock in Santa and the Easter Bunny than anything written in their Bible.

In no way am I denying the crimes of the "church" (which was just a power grab at the time and in my opinion had little to do with the religion.) But now you are condemning a whole religion based on what it's people did, not what the Bible teaches.
Calling someone biased is just a statement of fact, EVERYONE is biased in some way shape or form. I'm biased on what I have seen and read from their own book, not from what other people have said. I do my own research.

Oh, not at all. That's what you appear to be doing. I haven't condemned Christianity, but you seem perfectly fine to write off all of Islam and all Islamic people because you think your holy book is better and less violent. Which is, frankly, ridiculous. You're entitled to your opinion, but your life will be richer if you broaden that horizon.

Religion doesn't breed zealotry, overtly conservative upbringings and a lack of proper education do.

"Christianity was responsible for some of the most horrific inventions of torture ever created, and that so many people were killed by Christians, and that the Christian crusaders were responsible for Islam's fall. Also that Christianity in those days pushed technology, science and art so far back that humanity actually REGRESSED." <-- In what way is this not condemning? Definition of a zealot: "A person who is fanatical and uncompromising in pursuit of their religious, political, or other ideals." How am I being uncompromising? I've listened to your statements, stated my own and apparently that's too much for you, so you brand me a biased, uncompromising, overtly conservative person with a lack of proper education. If you don't insult everyone you have a debate with people might take your points more seriously, and you will in the least have gained your debater's respect.

You're making two big mistakes here. First, the assumption that I'm condemning Christianity as a whole because of what it did. No, I'm pointing out that Christianity's had more than its fair share of fucked up, because you said this:
Actually you're wrong in the sense that they were crusading, and the so called "crusading" only happened in the old-testament, crusading is killing if you cannot persuade a person/persons to believe in your belief. Oh, and this:
While that may be, Christianity in itself and Judaism (as far as I know.) are not meant to be crusadatory religions, while Islam states that it is and meant to be.
You even thought there were no Christian or Jewish terrorists. Which is hilarious.
Your second big mistake was suddenly imagining that the 'zealot' comment meant YOU.
I was saying that Islam doesn't make people violent, because that's what you seemed to be implying.
Maybe you should take a break.

Source?
All the racism and profiling going around right now quite honestly disgusts me. I really hope that it's not that common right now, as I've yet to hear anyone really talk about the bombing too much at school.

I am dumb :c
My personal favorite is this one:

Deport Koreans. :v:
Very moronic tweet, but clearly sarcastic (even for Fox News).
Some people still seem to forget that a lot of the meaning can get lost in text because it is simply just text.
Cunts.

No, we should send racist bigots like Erik Rush to war against the muslims, but without any support. Just give him a spoon and an american flag as a bathrobe and airdrop him over Saudi Arabia. He is ugly, so the religious police won't deport him. But if he tries spooning their women he is gonna get what he deserves.
Why do people jump on the president when bad things happen? I always see tweets and whatnot when shit goes down blaming the president... what does he have to do with anything? He's a damn puppet for the most part, and a lot of the things he's blamed for are superficial things like gas prices.
