"Oh cool R6 Seige is 40% off time to bu- oh wait a minute they raised the price by 20$ making the price of the game after the 40% the exact same as before." Why is this allowed Valve?
Crossposting from the GGD Steam Sales thread:
If you looked at the Starter Edition FAQ that Ubisoft put up, you would have realized that the Starter Edition was only buyable from June 2nd to June 19, not a day more. So no, they didn't increase the price, they just aren't selling the Starter Edition anymore. Here's some more info on what the Starter Edition was: https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/faqs/000025116/Starter-Edition-FAQ
The good ghostbusters game is $2.50
BUY DOOM 4 BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT. I can't stress that enough, especially at that price.
Shadow of Mordor worth buying if I enjoy Lord of the Rings? This is all I know about it:
Shadow of Mordor worth buying if I enjoy Lord of the Rings? This is all I know about it:
it's literally Batman Arkham combat with a sword. K+MB for those games has always been mediocre but I'd hardly say the combat is terrible.

It's a great game if you enjoy the world. The Nemesis system is definitely cool, even if the combat becomes almost trivial in the last half of the game, you feel very empowered. It's just a batman game, really.
you can't purchase CS:GO as a gift valve's reasoning https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/4pi811/csgo_50_off_in_summer_sale/d4l5ol6
CS:GO will not be giftable during the sale. Our goal with sales is to grow the community and historically, during sales, the new users that stick around are mainly the ones that purchase copies for themselves.
theres also the fact that cheaters can't stack gifts in their inventory and send them to alts. Or sell them on G2A.
By "Stick around", they of course mean "Don't get VAC banned within six months" if you catch my drift.
Nearly every game in all 3 of my queues was either survival and/or sandbox. Does it draw information from recently played games? All I've been playing recently is Terraria, so I guess that would make sense.

Like I play one FPS and steam assumes I'm a hardcore FPS fangirl when I barely ever play them
thanks, valve. these cards are completely useless now.
Steam queue seems to care just about your recently played games and nothing else. The mobile app is terrible for confirming shit your selling into the market. Getting rid of all my Payday 2 safes took a stupid long time since you have to confirm each and single of them one at a time. (Although, i guess that waste of time can be considered a punishment for being that dumb and buying those safes in the first place. Remind me not to invest in stocks and shit.) Would be nice if you could just confirm all in a one and done sort of deal.
Is Fallout 4 worth it at $30?
beth's environmental storytelling is as strong as ever but their actual storytelling has never been weaker dialogue and npc interaction is pitiful. there are maybe one or two interesting characters in the entire game. that's it.
hmm a few games on my list are on sale, Firewatch, Tuok, and Undertale. Too much for an impulse purchase though, leaning toward turok if any of them
Constant like sales have been lately, no fun gimmicks, no fun.
Love your avatar. Great anime.
Thinking about picking up ARK at 45% off at $16.49 and the Dishonored + DLC at $11.99. Are these worth going for?
The good ghostbusters game is $2.50
I'd recommend this game at the full $10, so it's definitely a steal at $2.
Thinking about picking up ARK at 45% off at $16.49 and the Dishonored + DLC at $11.99. Are these worth going for?
Dishonored is a definite yes if you like stealth games.
Witcher 3 for 30 bucks is nice.

You probably won't like it then because it takes several liberties with the lore. If you're like me and don't care all that much it's a lot of fun. It did stealth pretty well and that's where the meat and potatoes are. It gets old kinda fast, though. The story's not bad, the exploration is good, there's a lot of routes to do things through, there's a lot of options for dealing with most things, and the combat is just awesome. [editline]24th June 2016[/editline] Just bought Transformers Devastation Normally don't like anything Transformers related, but it's a Platinum game and I always love their work.
That's kind of the problem I had with it. It had excellent worldbuilding and art direction, an engaging story and moral choice system, and sprawling levels to explore... but the gameplay itself was just so boring that halfway through I gave up on exploring because with the basic teleporting ability I already had the ultimate power in the world and I no longer had anything to gain from going out of my way to explore. Then I just sorta rushed through it to get to the end because the gameplay was failing to engage me.

Ever since they connected phone numbers to VAC bans, the system seems highly abusable to me.

I had to intentionally gimp myself from using blink and stuff just to have a challenge. In saying that the world building was awesome so I should probably give it a second go Is Tomb Raider (2013) worth the $7?
Is Tomb Raider (2013) worth the $7?
Yes. It's great. Despite Lara becoming T-800 in terms of killing armies of enemies.

I've got no problems with it whatsoever and I've not been affected by a single trade hold, ban or delay.

If the number you have with your mobile carrier can be accessed by someone else, then that's a really shitty carrier and you should get a new one pronto.
