...which will show yet again that voters generally don't tend to think critically
Even though I completely agree with this guy, expressing these views is extremely toxic to the legitimacy of the Pirate Party. Now they'll be labeled as "those people who support kiddie porn."
They are already labeled as many things. They are known to be blunt and open about everything. Which isn't a bad thing. Sure, some will view them as such but it's not as bad as I think it would've been if said in the US.
No, currently, CP doesnt always have a victim. If i sendt you all images of my dick, you would be in possesion of CP, but I am not a victim.
Can we just legalize CP and illegalize rape pornography then?
I don't understand why child porn is a worse offensive than child rape. I never knew that and it's pretty fucked up. I agree on that point
I heard about this a little while ago, pretty ridiculous.
If he wins I know where I'm headed.

In that case the victim would be your self respect.

Call it "pornography without consent for either recording & distribution, AND the sexual act itself"
That way a politician would understand you.
Also wave a wad of money under their nose, it's like smelling salts for them.
I think possession of child pornography should only really be illegal largely just to protect the privacy of the victim, but the penalty for possession, much less than what it currently is.
what!?
i'm pretty sure that's not how the law works, i mean recording, distributing, and possessing child pornography are quite different from walking in the park and catching a rape
this is dumb, i want to disagree just because it means i won't be on the same side as this genius
I believe he is suggesting that in the future we will all have glasses that record everything (or something like that) and would make that true.
Kinda crazy future speculation though.

to a psychiatrist?

That's the thing. If one defends pedophiles or people viewing child porn people instantly assume you are one of them yourself.

child pornography is rape pornography. children can not give consent
Let's say I have a picture of myself, naked, when I was a kid. What would happen if I uploaded that?
nothing
Not entirely relevant, but I find it weird that (at least in the UK) watching a 16-17 year old having sex is illegal but it's legal to actually have sex with them yourself
child pornography is rape pornography. children can not give consent
Fuck that, kids sext all the time.
They're right but people are too thickheaded to realize it
Fuck that, kids sext all the time.
Children and teens have sexual curiousity which is normal but they should make all sexual experiences with children of their age. Just because a 7 year old girl may flash you doesnt mean that you should start touching her.

This is about child pornography, which includes children exchanging images of themselves with people their own age, molestation is something completely different.

Aside from furiously saving that shit to my phone, a 7 year old girl flashing me doesn't mean I should fucking rape her.

you would take a picture of a 7 year-old flashing you?
you would take a picture of a 7 year-old flashing you?
He's right, that headline is way too sensational.
He's right, that headline is way too sensational.
I'm still of the opinion that there should be a rule about it. At least in this thread, people seem to have read the article.
He's right, that headline is way too sensational.
What specifically about it is sensationalist? The founder of the Swedish Pirate Party wrote an article voicing his support for the re-legalisation of child pornography, that's simply factual.

Many people would probably read it as if he wanted it to be legal again
I was guessing it was related to the manga translator that got arrested on child porn charges a while ago when i clicked it
Then again, As long as people actually reads the article, it doesn't really matter what you think it means, and it seems to have held this far

He does want it to be legal again.
He does want it to be legal again.
No he doesn't. he only does in a very technical sense.
He wants things that are currently deemed child pornography despite not being child pornography to be legalised.
He wants to legalise parts of the law regarding child pornography that actually harms the man on the street, not the paedophile molesters and content producers.
