Live at the apollo cancelled? What will I spend my sad lonely Sunday nights watching now apart from ancient reruns of mock the week.
Shit like this a big fear of mine
I used to go to basketball games at a big concrete done and I would always play out scenarios in my head where the entire dome would just crumble onto the thousands of spectators
88 Injured, 81 walking wounded, 7 seriously.
Plasterwork came down taking a lighting rig with it.
Police commandeered a bus to take people to hospital.

Winnipeg's public transit system also does this too IIRC for large events.

Do think the london police are excellent at handling situations like this. Hope everyone injured recovers.
Was really worried when I heard about this, a fair few of my friends attend productions at this theatre regularly.

so insightful
Thats bad, I suppose the show brought the house down. (im sorry that just awful)
Ouch; hope no-one died.
Also was the theatre in need of any repairs or renovation recently? Considering the ceiling, it'll definitely need it now.
Don't mistake it with the Hammersmith Apollo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hammersmith_Apollo).
I live a few miles away from it and an hour or so before there was some pretty heavy rain and thunder/lightning. Last night through there was some serious wind/wind worse I've seen it in some time.

When will the shitty puns stop?
A massive amount of people were injured. Your reaction shouldn't be "I wonder how many funnies I can bank from this".
Some people are just assholes. As long as an event like this doesnt affect them, they don't give a damn.
Cant imagine how terrifying it mustve been. Hopefully everyone comes out fine.
It's because all they eat there is Fish and Chips, and the balcony got tired of their raunchy British breath and committed suicide...in vain

I thought it was the Hammersmith Apollo. Woops.
Didn't they learn from Tom Hanks? Never trust Apollo.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel aren't we?
Bengley climbing on the roof again

Wrong time to talk shit about the british mate. They have a hell of a lot more there than just fish and chips and bad teeth
like the worlds best curry short of india itself. Pubs with actual character. History all around them, far more than any place in the US. And friendly people that made a 6 year old American feel welcome when he was terrified.
So fuck you dude, and I hope all the people injured in this turn out fine and that those in serious condition don't get any worse.

On behalf of all British people, thank you.
On topic - I too thought it was the Hammersmith Apollo, didn't even know there was another one, I hope everyone recovers quickly.

That is pretty awesome of them to do that, it works better because they would've been able to transport a lot more not so serious to wounded people faster and make the Ambos work with people who really need it (serious to life threatening)

No mate, thank you. Seriously, I was terrified in first grade. Not only was the whole school system different, but I had to wear a uniform and stuff. Religious services too. And pretty much forced conscription into after school football :v:
Regardless, everyone was really nice to me. I guess it is because England is rather multicultural in many ways, but I felt at home there. I still have friends there today (who we visited over the summer a year ago). And the rest of my interactions with the British have been pleasant as well, even over the past summer when I no longer had my accent to blend in with the locals in Cambridge.
I could rant about how great Britain is for ages, but thats not necessary here. Hope the best for everyone involved and injured.
edit: also thanks for the love of curry you twats, now I have to drive 40 minutes to get decent indian food vs. the 15 mins from Cambourne :v:
Britain folk are nice, But their accent+lisp pisses me off every now and than.
*Let the hate consume you my fellow friends.

Holy shit. Me and my girlfriend saw this production in october (which by the way is one of the best stage performances i've ever seen and i really hope they can start up again soon) and we were litterally sitting 4 rows in front of the one that picture was taken on.
Feeling pretty lucky right now :S
The performance was groundbreaking. The audience truly brought down the roof.
