I mean yeah they'll probably be able to Import/Buy what they need to function from the EU despite Russia's sanctions, but I'm sure it'll still hurt them since I'm assuming the EU will probably give them a much worse deal than Russia was providing them, unless they use the border-control/refugee crisis to secure better deals, which I could see them doing.
turkey has had the unique geopolitical position of being able to get anything they need when it comes to east vs west, they'll make a deal, they always do
Putin was going to invade turkey but he was too chicken
All this because 2 irresponsible sides...this wouldn't have started if Russia were responsible with their flight...the plane never even responded to warnings
It was Turkey's fault. You can't scramble jets, warn 10 times, and then shoot down a plane within 17 seconds. Turkey planned to do this, had the jets in position to do it, and then did it, And only 2 years after Erdoğan himself said a brief breach of a border isn't enough reason to shoot down an aircraft
turkey you done fucked up [editline]1st December 2015[/editline]
All this because 2 irresponsible sides...this wouldn't have started if Russia were responsible with their flight...the plane never even responded to warnings
And then it was shot over SYRIAN airspace :)))
At least Russia is being reasonable about this and is not resorting to war.
Hopefully NATO is able to de-escalate this before it goes any further.
NATO is defensive only. If things escalate the rest of NATO will just say Turkey caused it with their aggression and thus they don't have any obligation to help.

Russia needs to start acting professional to other countries [editline]30th November 2015[/editline] This is a tragic consequence of Russian irresponsibility [editline]30th November 2015[/editline] NATOs more on turkeys side they know Russia was careless at first [editline]30th November 2015[/editline] NATOs more on turkeys side they know Russia was careless at first
How can you actually defend shooting the plane down? National airspace is being violated daily all over the world. Imagine if everybody acted like turkey did every time. [editline]1st December 2015[/editline] Also, turkey would not have any more military aircraft if greece shot them down during every airspace violation.
So now Putin has his own sanctions with blackjack and hookers. Cool. Humor aside, that turkish guy is pretty funny. I mean, i'm not fond of all those things russia's been pushing lately nor am i going to justify violating other nation's airspace, but hey, when a country that did this more than two thousand times in the previous year alone suddently starts whining about it's own airspace being violated and shoots down a plane for some far-fetched reason you understand how hypocritical global politics is.
Did you guys ever stop to think that most things we know about Russia have been told to us by our governments and media? Why in god's fucking name are we siding with Turkey over Russia? Absolute madness. I stand with Russia on this.
This entire situation is a retarded fucking mess. Both sides are being stupid about this, and since both Russia and Turkey is stubborn as hell I can't see this ending well.

Turkey obviously are asking for it, and supporting terrorists hiding behind mommy NATO. Russia can't declare war on them so what does she do? Hit them HARD in a way that still isn't giving Turkey what they want "attack us bitch so NATO can fuck you up", and damaging their support of ISIS' infrastructure. We'll all be glad Russia did this, in 5 years time (or probably still hating the GREAT RUSSIAN BEAR OH NO COMMIES, sigh).
This is what really gets me :v::
Putin has also banned the signing of Turkish players to Russian football clubs
Like what's the point? "Hey these players are really good and would be a great addition to our team, oh wait they're Turkish can't have that, let's go with the shittier players."
