You can't scramble jets, warn 10 times, and then shoot down a plane within 17 seconds. Turkey planned to do this, had the jets in position to do it, and then did it, And only 2 years after Erdoğan himself said a brief breach of a border isn't enough reason to shoot down an aircraft

I think this is the smartest decision Russia has made in a long time. Turkey obviously are asking for it, and supporting terrorists hiding behind mommy NATO. Russia can't declare war on them so what does she do? Hit them HARD in a way that still isn't giving Turkey what they want "attack us bitch so NATO can fuck you up", and damaging their support of ISIS' infrastructure.
We'll all be glad Russia did this, in 5 years time (or probably still hating the GREAT RUSSIAN BEAR OH NO COMMIES, sigh).

Supposedly they warned the planes before they entered Turkey's space, not while they were in it.
