Teacher fired, investigated after posting pics of students on Reddit r/CreepShots

Now, I personally find Creepshots morally objectionable, but I don't think we're in any place to try to make them stop doing what they're doing. Fetishes are fetishes, and while some are a little more strange than others, there's no helping them. What's the difference between seeing a picture of a girl in a bikini online, and going outside and seeing someone in a bikini? The only real discernible thing here is that rather than storing the hot girl in their minds, they're taking a picture of it and uploading it to the Internet.
Again, it's morally wrong to me, but morals are ultimately subjective in nature. What you find right is clearly not what they find right.

Jesus it's like they're a parody of themselves, that's ridiculous.

It's wrong.

Imagine if you could share your thoughts, memories, dreams and ideas with others with just a snap of your fingers?

Morals are subjective.
I can see why it might make people uncomfortable, but frankly, I can't see it being so horrendously objectionable that you'd want to hit someone for it.
When it comes down to it, I'm no more correct than you are about the morality of this, or any situation.

I never said anything about hitting.
In my opinion, it's a red flag that he has the potential to be either a pedophile or general pervert. From what I can take from the article, his pictures were directed at females, so not only are they objectionable from an age and professional standpoint, but they're also degrading to women.

The hitting thing was just an example of "Argh I hate what you do so much *thwack*"
I can see that he could potentially be a paedophile, and a "pervert".
Obviously this is a concern, given that he's a teacher, but creepshots in general, while creepy (hence the name), I'm not certain they should be considered as bad as they are.
As some people have said, there's a point at which it becomes creepy, but that point is hard to define. What makes a shot pornographic? Bare tits? There weren't any in this case, and indeed in most creepshots. Even if that were the definition, would that mean we'd have to outlaw photographic nudist beaches?
It's a very slippery slope, but one that's only very slightly inclined.
As a teacher, I know that taking photographs of students, without their consent, is the most RETARDED FUCKING THING you can ever do.
It's fucked up that there's people that roam around everywhere looking for girls to photograph, what's even worse is that a fucking teacher of all people would be doing this. There's a bunch of sub reddits that should be closed down asap.

wow ok that was the highschool half my family went to
I always wondered how people justified doing disgusting shit like this to themselves.
How don't they stop at some point and go "wow, I'm a pretty horrible person for doing this, I should probably get help"?

because reddit tells them it's okay

You know, you have a really valid point there. It's like having an alcoholics support group where they encourage drinking.
reddit is a hugbox for the creepiest groups of men on the internet

There's a post going on about people who have been caught.

Yea. The chick got angry. I deleted the picture at her request, and apologized, but she attacked me. I had to defend myself. I was going to press charges, but the officer talked me out of it (really, pressured me out of it). I had to hold her down for a good 20 minutes before they arrived. She screamed rape at one point, but I had my video recording at this point to protect myself.
This guy has some serious fucking problems.
I remember when I was in NYC one time and there was a guy (looked about 60, looked like a scummy creep to no one's surprise) speedwalking down the blocks with his film camera taking pictures of every woman he passed, even one that was sitting in a cafe drinking coffee.
I'm really hoping they do something about that Reddit section; their admins are horrible, they were completely fine with the jailbate section until they had to take it down for lawful reasons. Reddit as a whole, I hate it all.

This is hilarious and sickening at the same time, i'm glad these fuckers are getting caught with what they're doing, and some of them are actually trying to defend themselves.
Jesus I looked up that sub reddit and yeah it lives up to it's name, it's very creepy
Some subreddits I've found that are a bit odd:
all nsfw obviously

Funny how people judge the whole site based on a subreddit. It's as silly as judging FP based on Oify or GMF. Nice double standard. They have their /r/creepshots, we have our FB pictures among other threads. Stop acting like we're the pinnacle of morality.

Take scale and administration into account, please.

sorry dude, but reddit and fp aren't comparable. to my knowledge, fp hasn't let huge child porn subforums slip under the radar and cry about freedom of speech when they're forced to take them down

considering how much larger reddit is its hard to admin it. also the gmf
considering how much larger reddit is its hard to admin it. also the gmf
that's not an excuse, at all. they could hire moderators if they wanted. you don't even need to dig deep to find disgusting subreddits, because people talk about them all the god damn time
and there's nothing especially bad about the gmf
Jesus I looked up that sub reddit and yeah it lives up to it's name, it's very creepy
The worst imo is /r/picsofdeadkids
considering how much larger reddit is its hard to admin it. also the gmf
Pretty positive the GMF has never harboured child porn, or encourage taking creepshots of unknowing women in public.
Reddit being bigger isn't an excuse for it being a scummy place, even 4Chan has been more respectable than most subreddits recently, which really does say a lot.
