• Lithium considered to be added to water supplies
People seek what's good for them. Lithium in tiny doses is good for people. I support it getting added, a governmental body is going to add lithium to water, and it will be done and over with. Most of the people opposing it in this thread probably can't be arsed to even do anything about it outside of the internet.
Yeah, you still haven't properly replied to all the things she mentioned in her post. Also, lol. "People seek what's good for them." Cool. Guess drug dependency never occurs in your world, yeah? Edited: Except, wait, you constantly fat-shame people and blame them for their obesity (which you attribute to their eating too much). How does that work? All of your posts are fucking ridiculous.
Nothing is stopping anybody from creating their own water supplying system for people who don't want lithium water.
Except those who live in the middle of a city.
Except those who live in the middle of a city.
But poor inner-city people apparently don't matter to these guys, so whatevs.
But poor inner-city people apparently don't matter to these guys, so whatevs.
Why do people want water that's less healthy?
Lithium? Isn't that used in rechargeable batteries, too? [sp]Power Water[/sp]
Why do people want water that's less healthy?
Why do people want less healthy food? Choice, that's why. While you're at it, let's ban trans-fat, sugar and high levels of salt. Tax that shit to the sky since it can be potentially unhealty.

Since lithium is a metal.. I want to ingest gold too.
straw hominem or something
haha, in your case more like straw HOMOnem :v: [editline]29th May 2011[/editline] i should kill myself
Why do people want water that's less healthy?
Why don't you ever reply to someone who makes a valid point (e.g. that your arguments are full of gaping logic-holes)? And you're conveniently ignoring the fact that it's debatable that it is healthier for you to have lithium in water. And the fact that there are other factors at play (choice, the desire of some to not be forced into ingesting mind-altering substances, etc.).
We're not batteries.

People need to be healthy, happy, safe and secure. I don't give a fuck about the stuff getting in the way of human improvement. If it reduces crime and suicide that is a absolutely huge factor. Crime and suicide should be almost completely eradicated.
for what its worth this sounds pretty good to me

Also, I take it you've never studied criminology.
First of all, that's bullshit that 'crime and suicide should be almost completely eradicated'. Also, I take it you've never studied criminology.
It reduces crime and suicide rates. Do it.
Your sarcasm doesn't work on him - he does want that.
I know, pointing out that he wants a totalitarian state that decides what every family should have for dinner. And what they do. No free choice, fuck the individual, let's have one crazy loon in charge of a whole population. And whatever else he's having wet dreams about. [editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
It reduces crime and suicide rates. Do it.
So does enslaving the people and keeping them under guard 24/7
It reduces crime and suicide rates. Do it.
You're criminally fucking stupid. Let's lock you up.

All people are doing is drinking water that makes them happier. People who fear such things are paranoid hippy luddites.
Lithium doesn't affect them as much as that. All people are doing is drinking water that makes them happier. People who fear such things are paranoid hippy luddites.
didnt you just say itll eradicate crime and suicide
Lithium doesn't affect them as much as that. All people are doing is drinking water that makes them happier. People who fear such things are paranoid hippy luddites.
Why not make it a vitamin pill then? Those who wanna "be happy" can "be happy".
didnt you just say itll eradicate crime and suicide
Reduce, I said it would be good if crime and suicide was eradicated.
Why not make it a vitamin pill then? Those who wanna "be happy" can "be happy".
Waste of time and resources. Pump it in directly so everyone can be happy.
I would agree to it, if it doesn't change the taste in any way.
Since lithium is a metal.. I want to ingest gold too.
I once saw a bottle in a liqour store that had gold flakes in it. The comic at the back of the bottle suggest that you shake it up to get the gold mixed up, and drink it as a shot.
this issue has all the same problems as fluoride. and the addition of that was only beneficial.
Natural levels fluctuate, to say that we evolved on a specific amount is wrong
The amount of water we drink is variable.
I'm sure there are regions of the world where the ground water has next to none
Then they do research for their people - but I'm sure any governmnet or organisation will be able to justify it.
Uhhh, Kerosene wouldn't be in your water because it has to be refined in a specific fashion from crude oil. Hydrazine wouldn't appear in your water in any notable amount because it explodes occasionally when brought into contact with light. (Interesting side note, if you pee in a chlorinated pool, you produce a very small amount of hydrazine. A highly unstable, when exposed to light, rocket fuel) The nitrogen oxide propellants also require a specific method of manufacturing. So not really sure on those showing up either. EDIT: I guess you could be talking about solid rocket fuels, but those show up in a wide variety of flavors, so I can't really comment there.
It's not like it's natural, it likely spilled onto the ground and eventually seeped its way down to the aquifer.
It's not like it's natural, it likely spilled onto the ground and eventually seeped its way down to the aquifer.
If that happened, we'd be drinking fertilized water. They filter it, distill it, and dump out pure H2O. Then they add stuff like fluoride. Anything that seeps down to an aquifer is mostly gone by the time we drink it. Besides, sit in a city for a day and you'll breathe in more unhealthy smoke than the amount of rocket fuel you'll get from drinking a cup of water every day for a week.
If we're all gonna start arguing about fucking choice then where the fuck do you stop blocking stuff out? Where do you draw the line? Should we block the sun out and people who want vitamin D can all go to some new kind of mild-tanning booth where you're exposed to low end UV radiation for a while? Why not get rid of ALL trace elements in food and water? That way people can choose to be healthy or happy (or, for that matter, alive). You all know they're retarded ideas, you can't just get rid of EVERYTHING until the human body/mind works at its bare minimum level then let people decide what they want to put into it and build up from there. Like I said earlier, everything fucking effects your mind. The suicide rates in countries in northern Europe for example are a lot higher in the winter when there's very little sunlight. Human's get depressed without sunlight (and like I mentioned above, it's a good way for your body to generate vitamin D which helps protect against colon cancer), so there's a MUCH bigger mind-altering 'substance' than lithium. Deal with it, the human body just happens to operate better when it has certain elements in it, and is exposed to certain things and you can't fucking change that, that's just the way it's evolved over the course of a few million years from the time when we resembled fucking gibbons. The government isn't trying to brainwash you, they're just trying to get your body to operate at its prime and so that everyone will be happier and live longer.

As in not connected to the city water supply AT ALL.
Well people would be a hell lot healthier if tax discouraged them from gaining weight. Tax people and they will do anything to stop paying tax. Put a tax on windows and they brick them up. Put a tax on soap and they don't wash. If you tax fat people, it will do them much better in the long run until they lose weight to become normal.
Your logic is wrong Gas is taxed yet people burn gas Smokes are taxed yet people buy smokes
