One of many bulldog attacks.
It's a fucked up dog, I don't know why anyone would want it.

Bulldogs are bread to be violent.
Actually, it's the other way around:
Temperament
Despite their famous "sourpuss" expression, bulldogs are generally docile although can prove to be very fast movers over a short distance. They are friendly and gregarious but occasionally willful. The phrase "stubborn as a bulldog" is loosely rooted in fact. They rank 77th out of 79 in Stanley Coren's The Intelligence of Dogs, being of lowest degree working/obedience intelligence.
Breeders have worked to breed aggression out of the breed, and as such the dog is known to be of generally good temperament. Bulldogs can be so attached to home and family that they will not venture out of the yard without a human companion. Due to their friendly nature bulldogs are known for getting along well with children, other dogs and pets.

Ok I made a mistake, whatever.
Still, why would you want one? Especially with kids.
If I had kids, and I had to choose a dog, I'd probably go for a Labrador
Taigans are fucking awesome. I just like the way sighthounds look.

The same reason I'd want any other dog.

_Really_ popular among old folks around here... but god damn it looks like a Critter :v:
Aren't Bulldogs actually considered one of the gentlest and sweetest of the dog breeds?
Dumb fucks should of trained their dog better, it's their fault for letting it be that way.

Pugs are so ugly they're cute.
Whoa this is where I live, if Northampton ever reaches the headlines it's for something to be proud of like murder, assault or farting.

Hey Bulldog
Since the age of 5 the only dogs we have had were rottweilers but I always wanted a bulldog. Rottweilers are pretty rad though.
"A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the dog "was contained at the scene" and is due to be humanely destroyed."

Wow they're killing it because the owners don't know what the hell to do with a dog?
But,it's so cute :(
It attacked a little girl, Free pass to doggy hell.
I've always found the word "destroyed" when referring to euthanasia kind of funny. It sounds like they're gonna

Pretty much :/
But also, once a dog attacks a human, that could turn into a habit that may be hard to correct... remember that dogs are descendants from Grey Wolves and their predatory instincts are still there, it's just they don't need to (and shouldn't) use them nowadays
I have a rottweiler, she's a massive dog. 120+ pounds, one of the biggest pussies I know. My Shitzu bullies her and he's 13 years old and brittle as hell.
Bulldogs Rottweilers and such shouldn't be freely distributed as pets, maybe only if the owner gets a special license for them.
No matter how you keep them, they are especially bred to be aggressive and ruthless. Of course not every single on of them is going to murder somebody, but the risk is (generally) too high.
They are also fucking dumb. I don't know if anybody officially compared intelligence of bulldog and wolfhound or husky, but I bet that it's a big difference.

You are right, kill the owners instead.
Of course they should get punished, but there is no reason to keep the dog alive.
Lol, apparently bulldogs are banned in Australia.

What? Bulldogs and Rottweilers weren't bred to be aggressive, Bulldogs were originally bred to bite down on the nose of the bull and hang on to it until the bull gave up, today's breeds were bred to fit the look that people preferred for pets, the american bulldog is the closest breed to the original bulldog, and the english bulldog was miniaturized. Rottweilers were used a lot for herding, and then people started using them for security.

Also, Dogs aren't just born aggressive, if they grow up without proper training then they will revert to instinct, and if the dog is mistreated it could learn to not trust humans.

That's no way aggressive behavior at all.

If their instincts tell them to be aggressive, it means that they are "born aggressive". A lion pup also wouldn't attack you.
I hate these stories, it's not the dog, it's retarded owners. Dogs are only as dangerous as their handlers are irresponsible.
People should read up on the genetic traits of the breed of dog before they buy, especially if it's to be a family dog.

Instinct meaning taking their role in the pack(generally the family/person that takes care of it), defending themselves and their pack, etc. And they were bred to be best fit for hanging on to a bulls nose, they don't suddenly get the urge to bite on the bulls nose because of the way they were bred.
Why the fuck would people breed a dog just for it to bite on a bulls nose until it gave up.

If you ban bulldogs and rotweillers then the idiots that generally buy them as "guard" dogs will start getting different dogs. You can never win.
I was actually walking my dogs fairly close to where that happened.
Wonder if the county council will implement that Dangerous Breed act :/
