They should name it...
Thatdamnelementthatdecaystoodamnfastium
I really hope they give it the symbol Ah.
The element of surprise !
It should be called "Unobtainium"
Well since the number of the element depends on the number of protons, that'd just be a neutron (neutronium if more than one).
Element zero as in Mass effect.
It was a joke.

Call it Pandemonium.
Still no element zero.
There's plenty of that. It's aptly named Nothing.
According to Wikipedia RIKEN previously suggested Japonium or Rikenium.
Nihonium?
According to Wikipedia RIKEN previously suggested Japonium or Rikenium.
Pokemonium
Unobtanium
missingnoium
Elusivium or Slipperium
Mynameismarcospppandthespacetrainhasnobrakes
Given how fast it decays I would've called it Anditsgonium.
Cocainum.
faggitonium
I like the way facepunch is so creative when it comes to names of elements.
According to you, new elements need the ending -ium for some reason.
The elements having "un-whatever-ium" names, just doesn't have real names yet. It's a "quasi Latinizing" of the elements number. 118 becomes Un-un-Oct-ium Uuo, 103 (Lawrencium, Lr) was Un-nil-tri-um Unt before it got its name.
oldjokium
In case you didn't know, the name of element 113 is Ununtrium. Wacky name yes
uncuntrium

the IUPAC (international union of pure and applied chemistry) says that all new metallic elements are to have names ending in -ium, and as i remember all of those big radioactive elements are metallic
if you don't believe me it's in this thing somewhere, i think http://www.iupac.org/publications/pac/2002/pdf/7405x0787.pdf
full body checkup full health check up - an important part of everyone's life after 40 years. While we're young, we do not pay attention to our wellness. If you forget about it and after 40 years, it can give us a lot of surprises. My croaker strongly leaves 1 time per year suffer a full test of the body. This will help get serious diseases in the early stages and time to take action on their treatment. For instance, here you can not only be tested, but also get expert adjuration on the cure and averting of complaint.

I wonder what "naming rights" allow you to do. If there's no restrictions, someone could bite the bullet and name an element Fuck.
[editline]28th September 2012[/editline]
Atomic symbol Fu.

Fuck (II) Iodide
There's plenty of funny names to be found in organic chemisty

My favourite is probably Arsole; it's a partially aromatic metallic hydrocarbon in the shape of a ring :v:
Adamantium
Bullshitium...
I remember my physics teacher told me it was abso-fucking-lutely impossible to find any more elements.
I remember my physics teacher told me it was abso-fucking-lutely impossible to find any more elements.
Mine told me light doesn't bend.
A physics teacher who doesn't know light bends might as well be using an oil lamp and hunting for whale.
I told my chemistry teacher this and he said it's not that big of a thing, as it doesn't really serve any purpose in the real world and that their are probably much more elements out there that are just as useless.
Element 113? I think we'd better go a hundred and thirteen bars on this one.
119 needs to be named Belgium.
I am Belgian and I approve of this idea
