Uh, what?
I'm a bit torn on this issue. Being part Jewish on my mothers side (and just disliking bigots in general) I want to see him rot. I also do understand that the education and propaganda are basically brainwashing and emotions were running high. People are frustrated and want something to blame.

Do you genuinely feel angry about him being an ex-nazi because you're half jewish? Or are you just saying that to justify your feelings?
If you're torn at all, you should be able to realise that the fact that feel angry with someone doesn't mean they should be punished. The guy's 87, and as people have said, was probably brainwashed to high heaven.
Why are they wasting time trying to prosecute someone who's 87 years old?
Well, Germany, if punishing him is all you wanted, you got your wish - the man can't even leave his fucking house anymore without being pelted with shit.
all of these prosecutions should've been immediately, absolutely no point now, very, very unlikely they'd re-offend, so punishment is useless.
We don't try people who commit unlawful actions under coercion so this shouldn't be any different.
