The largest beer brewery, Cervecerias Polar, shut down today. Current market stock will only last for a month or so.

The reason why is because we don't produce barley, we import it as it cannot be grown within Venezuela, and well, the currency controls have impeded Polar from importing more raw materials. So they have to shut down.
