Well that's what needs to stop.
It never will, which is why communism, anarchy, and most other "Utopian" internet ideas will never work.
oh stop it with your bullshit nihilistic angsty view of reality and what is actually possible. people thought having men on the moon both theoretically and in practice to be impossible, and look were we are. i recommend you open ur mind mindless kid.
Why must there be a news article for any time someone even mentions something about homosexuals. How about writing about nice things - like pandas?
America doesn't have a population crisis. We have more land than we know what to do with.
uhuhuh what? If America had enough water California wouldn't turn into a goddamn firestorm every second summer, and if they had enough farm land, food wouldn't need to be imported in such huge quantities from the rest of the world. [editline]05:42AM[/editline] People dying in a warzone, that's unheard of!
California is a bad example. Ever seen the midwest? There's almost nothing like that population density. The US isn't have a space issue, California does. Oh, and you're an idiot. Those are gays that were hung. For being gay.
This is doubleplusgood.
California is a bad example. Ever seen the midwest? There's almost nothing like that population density. The US isn't have a space issue, California does.
No, the US does have a resource issue. Just because people aren't packed shoulder to shoulder from the Pacific to the Atlantic, it doesn't suddenly mean the US has extra space. "Space" is relative to the volume of resources an average person consumes in their lifetime. Just because you have some undeveloped areas, doesn't mean that America can sustain it's disgustingly large population.

That's delusional. Though, an increasing population, globally, is not a good thing at this point either way.
No, you're right, but we aren't at the point we can't support ourselves anymore.
You will be in a matter of 5 years.
What the fu--- This article is from OCTOBER 13th. This shit is FIVE MONTHS OLD. You get a clock OP.
uhuhuh what?
Ever been to California? Dry as shit with enough giant, near-dead trees to build a few Arks with. I'm surprised the entire state hasn't melted yet. There's plenty of water. We dump a shit ton of it when these forest fires sprout up, and stores are overflowing (no pun intended) with bottles of it. And food is imported because NO country has the resources to provide food for their entire population. Countries trade back and forth. It's NORMAL. If you think we're the only country that imports food and such, you are sadly mistaken.
America doesn't have a population crisis. We have more land than we know what to do with.
Put some the 300 Million Obese Chinese people in there.
I'm glad.
when he said "the whole united states" thats not the majority. the fucking majority dont want it. only a few states have gay marriage laws enforced. plus the president cant do shit. he cant really pass a law. in the end its always the Congress's decision, he just represents.
It never will, which is why communism, anarchy, and most other "Utopian" internet ideas will never work.
This is entirely predisposed on having a negative view of human nature. If you believe that humans are naturally compassionate rather than selfish, then your views will totally change. I know it's hip to be jaded, but try looking at things from a different perspective
This is entirely predisposed on having a negative view of human nature. I know it's hip to be jaded, but try looking at things from a different perspective
humans are compassionate to those that are similar to them, but dehumanize those different from them. Classless society can't exist until everyone is the same, and I think that a world of homogeneous humans would be more terrifying than any dystopian future
Pretty much, yeah.
Actually, they look like they're having fun! Oh, it's such a snowy day but they're spending time with each other and they're going to probably then go in and have some hot chocolate by the fire. I bet it would be fun to join in! Except they'd probably hate me. It's like those ciné camera recordings of Hitler and Eva Braun at the Berghof - you look at them and go "Oh, I bet they were fun!" before remembering, you know, the whole genocide thing.
I am still waiting for someone to kill one of those fuckers.
humans are compassionate to those that are similar to them, but dehumanize those different from them. Classless society can't exist until everyone is the same, and I think that a world of homogeneous humans would be more terrifying than any dystopian future
That's actually not far off from what marx wrote, but classlessness doesn't necessarily mean everyone is homogeneous, it means that everyone has the same relationship to the means of production. Marx even claimed no individual is equal to another, and its for that reason that socialists argue for equal opportunity, not equal wages (something marx felt was unequal in reality).
I thought this was pretty old.
Pretty much, yeah.
With smiles like those? I hope those religious kooks burn in hell-fire.
humans are compassionate to those that are similar to them, but dehumanize those different from them.
I don't think that's the case. Racism and prejudice are certainly common in modern society, but that's an aspect of our society. I'm not talking about socialized humans
uhuhuh what? If America had enough water California wouldn't turn into a goddamn firestorm every second summer, and if they had enough farm land, food wouldn't need to be imported in such huge quantities from the rest of the world.
California is by a damn ocean. We have water, it's just that fires are ridiculously hard to contain. Also I live in the farmland. We have plenty. It's imported because it's cheaper or better.
I don't think that's the case. Racism and prejudice are certainly common in modern society, but that's an aspect of our society. I'm not talking about socialized humans
I've always wondered what would happen to children raised in a completely neutral environment, too bad ethics get in the way of us carting them off to some island and isolating them from the sociological development process
Good on Obama, we're getting one step closer to curbing the population crisis and inciting tolerance amongst humankind. (more gay couples means less breeding couples)
mhm this will turn everyone gay :downs:
I've always wondered what would happen to children raised in a completely neutral environment, too bad ethics get in the way of us carting them off to some island and isolating them from the sociological development process
Depending on the kids they'll probably just revert back to their instincts and do whatever they need to survive.
yes much better they stay in the decadent fucked up shithole that is any given orphanage
erm have you not seen Tracey Beaker 100% fun 100% of the time its true [editline]09:47PM[/editline]
psst rampant unfettered capitalism in the midst of a recession gripped by intolerance is not a golden age
cos there's no such thing as grey amirite :downs:
I've always wondered what would happen to children raised in a completely neutral environment, too bad ethics get in the way of us carting them off to some island and isolating them from the sociological development process
no it's a good thing that ethics prevent us from doing that [editline]04:42PM[/editline]
Depending on the kids they'll probably just revert back to their instincts and do whatever they need to survive.
But the thing is is that, if nature provides for them what they need to survive, they won't fight with each other. People are only violent when their needs (real or artificial) aren't met.
