Such a desperately needed resolution It kind of scares me though because I see it causing even more gridlock in the house, and I feel like it may show that our current government might be inadequate to handle the needs of such a massive country. Can 100 senators and 435 representatives actually keep up with the needs of 310 million people? shiiiiiiit..
The less people in charge the faster things get done, but the more easily corrupted they can become. Inversely, the more people in charge makes corruption less of an issue, but makes things change considerably slower. Pick your poison.
Now tack on a provision to punch Lamar Smith in the dick and it'll be just what this country needs.
Here you are, sir. Please do the honors.
Who determines what constitutes a single subject?
Well currently, you can attach anything to a bill. You can attach a segment about frogs to a bill about financial stability if you wanted. It's a wonder nobody's tried to sneak in "Also I become Supreme King of America" to a bill about childcare yet.
Finally, a Republican I agree with.
I didn't even notice he was a Republican until people start explicitly pointing it out. You guys should really stop assuming Republican = stupid.
