Can't really do that without his consent.
They need family consent and proof that the person about to be euthanized is in a state that renders him incapable of doing anything.
They need family consent and proof that the person about to be euthanized is in a state that renders him incapable of doing anything.
So what if he can hear people? He is trapped in never ending darkness, trapped in his own body for the rest of his life? This happens quite often actually, or at least allot more than people think. That is the definition of hell in my opinion. They should euthanize him.

No one except him has the right to make such a decision, and if he's incapable of making that decision, you keep him alive.
All he needs is a Princess to kiss him.
Or another prince.

I know you can in the US, and euthanization is supposed some super liberal thing. Thus Europe should be open to it. Besides his life has ended, he is either trapped in his own body (Hell on Earth) or his mind has been destroyed by the brain damage.
Funny ratings ...
I like how people went on about the fact that he was part of a monarchy not the fact he may never wake up. The faith I have in humanity is on the decline.
Except he's a person of importance. have some respect, you asshole.
You're acting like every human life isn't important
You're acting like every human life isn't important
I wish bad reading still existed...
I didn't mean to imply he was more important than anyone else, And i realize i could have worded what i said better. I don't value his life over others, i just said it badly.
I wish it was that goddamn Nigerian Prince...
I think it's tragic, but not because he was the prince of the Netherlands. If it were anybody else, it would be just as tragic.
I like how people went on about the fact that he was part of a monarchy not the fact he may never wake up. The faith I have in humanity is on the decline.
My faith in humanity is on the decline because of the fact that we still have monarchies.
My faith in humanity is on the decline because of the fact that we still have monarchies.
It's not like the Dutch Monarchy still rules over the country with an Iron first or anything. I'm all but certain it's similar to the Royal family in the UK, just a part of the cultural heritage and pretty much just a figurehead. Parliament (or whatever Holland has) does the actual governing.
Monarchies are still retarded. If they have no use then, then why do they still exist?
Preserving the status quo, I guess. While there's no great reason to keep them around, there's no equally urgent reason to get rid of them either. That, or they bring tourists in.
Monarchies are still retarded. If they have no use then, then why do they still exist?
Tourism
Monarchies are still retarded. If they have no use then, then why do they still exist?
Tourism and most people don't know about this, major dredging deals are sealed when our Queen goes to countries like saudi arabia and stuff.
Tourism
Because you need some old hag to exist to have people tour old castles?
Because you need some old hag to exist to have people tour old castles?
Like Falcon said, important people in other country's have respect for royalty, and state visits help a great deal in landing important contracts. Every single state visit our Queen makes, land us million dollar contracts in said country.
Yeah we got you tied down and are forcing you to read it. You can think of it all you like but some times expressing your views can't be that good of a idea. I personally am unmoved (as in I don't know how to react to events so remote for me) by these events but I sure as hell know others are and out of respect I keep my mouth shut.
I actually understand where he's coming from. Think back to when Charlie Sheen pulled his stupid moves. Not only was FUCKING EVERYTHING RELATED TO MEDIA going on about it, EVERYONE I EVER FUCKING TALKED TO was going on about it. I almost repeated Columbine. [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] point being regardless of the news, NOBODY wants to hear it repeated constantly
Constitutional monarchy is different from just a Monarchy. The royal family is involved in diplomatic relations mostly with countries that fancy the idea of preserving culture. They often go to talk to leaders to promote the idea of international business, but they seem to leave that to politicians when dealing with presidents. Plus interesting bloodlines can happen that change some things around, but that's also easily blocked by either countries. Never the less, i think it's stupid to not show sympathy just because he's a prince. If you're not doing that, you're also not doing it for all those other people, in which case you're not a very sympathetic person.
