Ur right. A forum about 4000 times bigger than fp, and all 10 million of their visitors are stupid kids right? Every single subreddit is the same and facepunch is better, I see better quality posts in reddit almost always than here
reddits better because i don't have to look at anime avatars tbh
Fp would be so much better without ratings.
Any site that encourages rulelessness in the name of "free speech" is going to be objectively worse than one that actually bothers to clean house now and then. There are tons of great subreddits but they're exceptions. At least on Facepunch the rules are the same everywhere - we don't have one forum with moderation next to one where people can freely post pictures of women being beaten or upskirts or child porn and get kudos from your peers for it
How can you seriously say reddit is objectively worse than other websites? Different rules fit different people's maturity levels and intelligence more, which leads to a wider crowd being satisfied. That's why reddit is one of the top websites out there. [editline]11th March 2014[/editline]
Both of those topics are to my knowledge banned site-wide.
There was a big stirrup a little while ago about a pervert mod who started subreddits like that and eventually got doxxed.
Any site that encourages rulelessness in the name of "free speech" is going to be objectively worse than one that actually bothers to clean house now and then. There are tons of great subreddits but they're exceptions. At least on Facepunch the rules are the same everywhere - we don't have one forum with moderation next to one where people can freely post pictures of women being beaten or upskirts or child porn and get kudos from your peers for it
So because the website encourages unique sections for specific topics, it's inherently a bad site? Each subreddit has rules that you will be banned for not following, so I don't see where you're getting this whole "rulelessness" idea from. Again you're taking a few specific subreddits, clumping them together and labeling it 'reddit', and saying that it's a bad website. There are overall rules on reddit, that apply to all subreddits, right here: http://www.reddit.com/rules
Don't spam. Don't ask for votes or engage in vote manipulation. Don't post personal information. No child pornography or sexually suggestive content featuring minors. Don't break the site or do anything that interferes with normal use of the site.
Anything you said about getting kudos from peers for doing naughty things applies to any website in which those types of people visit. There are people on facepunch who like pictures of women being beaten or upskirts or child porn - they won't show themselves, but they're on this website and almost any website. So that's another biased, reasonless excuse to hop on the anti-reddit bandwagon. I don't want to just defend reddit for no reason, but I also don't want to see people like you acting like reddit is the worst website in existence because it has had some bad moments. So has Facepunch, and so has any other website you visit.
